Review for A.D.P. college

The course curriculum is somewhere vast but very helpful for further studies. If someone really wants to apply for UGC NET then this curriculum will be very helpful. In this course it has been tried to cover the most important topics for political science and generic subject can be choose on the basis of one's own interest.

My course was BA(Political Science) 2019-22 batch, course duration was three year. Back then in the first semester at the time of admission one have to pay 5540rs ( admission fee 400, tuition fee 840, session fee 100, identity card fee 60, cycle stand fee 60, college dev. Fee 795, building fee 300, faculty improvement fee 500, contingency fee 300, music fee 100, seminar fee 50, NAAC fee 50, library fee 200, examination fee 200, scout guides 20, union subscription fee 100, social fee 100, game fee 100, common room fee 50, student aid fee 50, electricity fee 500 student insurance fee 20, magazine fee 100, affiliation fee 200, youth festival fee 150, cultural fee 100, debating 85.). For hostel admission one have to pay 9200rs ( hostel admission 8500, caution money 500 i.e refundable, contingency 200). Hostel admission is on yearly basis next two year admission fee will be 10000rs. Per semester one have to pay 300rs for examination (for my subject I am saying) and at the 3rd and 5th sem one have to pay admission fee for the whole year respectively 3rd to 4th sem and 5th sem to 6th sem which to approx 6000rs and 1500 is exam registration fee. One can get ugc scholarships. Classroom and other facilities..Classrooms are very clean and tidy there are digital classrooms for seminar and presentations. There is one seminar room for all, one auditorium, 3 libraries- one common library, one for digital use and compititive exm preparation and one separate library for reference books only. Seating arrangements are very good at the library. There is inverter connection in the class rooms. Teaching staff..Professors are very good. They are very friendly and communicative. They take the regular classes very seriously and provide good quality of notes. Non teaching staff...Office staffs are also good and helpful they are always try to provide possible help. Hostel..As the intake capacity of hostel is only 150 so for hostel extra merit list has been published on the basis of merit.

My experience at ADP college was very good there are other colleges in the nagaon district but this college is situated in such area where peace for the study can be found also not very far from the town. One can go market whenever he/she wants.

The hostel rooms are 2/4 seater. The rooms are big enough for 2 or 4 seaters. As there are only 2 hostel at the campus which are girls hostel total 200 intake capacity in hostel 1 there is capacity of 50 students and in hostel 2 there is capacity of 150. Bathrooms are average. Food is avarage simple dal, chawal, anda currry, meat curry, fish curry has been served for dinner and in breakfast dal chalwal, Puri sabji, bread and eggs has been served, in lunch simple dal chawal has been served with some mix veg. Per month one have to pay 1000 rs mess fee. One can take rent or PG if someone wants to.

This college is very near to my home. Also this is one of the prestigious college in nagaon district. After entering this college all teaching and non teaching staff gave me positive vibes. Also my department was very helpful in every aspect.

There are 4 teachers in the political science department they are very friendly and good. They are very humble towards everyone. They provide readable notes on every semester. They always finish syllabus on time. They are always there to help if someone ask for it also there is a concept of departmentel mentor where almost 15 students are the responsibility of one teacher who is guid for those for the whole course. That particular teacher is a doorstep friend for those 15 students.

There are bunch of resturants and street thelas near the college. But for the hostel border it is not possible to go outside after 6 pm as the main gate has been closed by the 6'O clock. But one can order anything before 6 pm. Also there are PGs and rental rooms if someone wants to stay there and vegetables and grocery stores are there to shop.
