The institute follows Gujarat technological university. The exam pattern is according to them and is standard in GTU affiliated colleges. In SOCET, two mid semesters take place followed by an university exam.

The college celebrates all the events which should be celebrated in an engineering college. Technical fest to cultural fest. Being in gujrat, Garba is also celebrated here. But being in a college is about the education and not festivals. Academics matter and not this irrelevant things.

Yes the seniors are helpful and are nice. Alumni network is good and a meetup is held every 26th January. Which is good as the students get exposure of what is coming in future for them. Seniors are experienced and placed at various high posts.

The admission process is through ACPC on basis of merit. The merit rank changes every year depending on the current scenario of student demand. Depending on which branch is in trend. Mechanical dept in this institution is good followed by IT
