After 12th Dilemma

Everything was good except for the fact that the extra-curriculum activities weren’t paid much heed to. They were more into academics than any other things that are equally important for the development of the students.

One can’t and should never doubt the academics of National PG College since they take very much interest in the course curriculum. We had our internals twice a semester and then our external exams. The course provided was up to mark and date. It did make me disciplined and better as a person.

Talking of placements, there are some good companies like HCL, British Telecom, Aon, Elite, HDFC Bank and so on, that visit the campus annually; resulting in healthy placements from the college. The starting packages are fairly decent. They may incept from 1.35 lacs per annum, and can even reach up to 7 lacs annually.

We had a lot of events celebrated there like Independence Day, Republic Day, Teachers’ Day, Children’s Day, etc. The events celebrated were great, we were provided with sweets on days like Independence Day and Republic Day and a lunch box was provided on other special days.

The fees for BBA(MS) as per my year was Rs.28,000 per semester which makes it Rs.56,000 in the first year and the rest. The transport expenses were like Rs.2000 around per semester and food expenses included from the canteen as well. The fees for the course increase every year.

No, I didn’t opt for any scholarship or education loan so can’t tell about that. This can be well answered by a person who opted for a scholarship or education loan.

I thoroughly enjoyed my Campus Life, there was a good canteen and good place to move around. The gender ratio was 60:40 boys and girls. The college does not allow the students to carry mobile phone within the campus. If caught, the mobile phones are literally smashed on the ground till the screen shatters (if caught by P. K. Sir (HOD of Geography)) or confiscated along with the ID card. So, better leave your mobile in your scooter trunk or do not bring the mobile phone to the college, at all. Also, the college has a uniform code; however, after 12 PM, casual entries into the campus are permitted.

Setting off class 12th boards brings us to the most perplexing phase of our lives, i.e. getting into a good college. I went through the same dilemma for looking through colleges to get into one. I had heard a lot about National PG College since it was near my place as well. The admission process was quite easy, we had to fill an admission form then sit for an entrance test. Once you got a good rank we were headed for counseling, thus providing us with seat allotments. Our entrance test date was 21st June 2014 and the classes began on 17th July 2014.

Honestly, just like any other college, it is a fusion of good and bad. While some teachers are extremely supportive and decently natured, some don’t even know how to talk properly. To sum up, focus more on the study part and you’ll be less bothered by their attitude. Conclusively, the college has a nurturing and serene ambiance. The canteen prepares fresh food with everyday upgrades to the menu, and the overall faculty is incredible. If at all you are planning to pursue CA, CLAT or any such side course, National P.G will be the best choice; because the teachers provide the notes and again, the college hours will all be in your favor.
