Course Curriculum Overview

So MBBS is a dream course for many. You'll love and hate the subjects at the same time at some point. you'll be given sneak picks of ever aspect while you are in the course. proffessor do organise little session for further studies and study methods. Various seminar and sessions will be helpful for the future doctors. People come from different parts of india even around the globe to share their experiences, knowledge in various conferences that occurs in the college itself.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fee is Rs.6,00,156/- per year Hostel, mess, transport, sports, caution fee, cultural fee etc. sums up to Rs.6,00,000/- per year Electricity charge each year is Rs.12000/- Fees for NRI candidates-$35000 USD per year *As per DME, bank guarantee has to be submitted at the time of admission. *There can be an increase or decrease in the fee for which students are notified prior

Campus Life

4

We celebrate Ganesh chaturthi very well last year. Holi is also a favourite one.Last year we organised our first Annual function. We also did celebrated Navratri, garba nights was organised.White coat ceremony was also really nice last year. Every year there is a progress in activities and functions .It's going to be very fun every year. Only issue is sports club which isn't really there

Admission

This college was my father's preference just because of the study environment. I couldn't make it to government college but then the best option that i got was SBIMS in private college. Marks upto 480-490 is the last score to get into the college. Study Hard!!

Faculty

5

Faculty to student ratio is quite good. Every subject has atleast 6 faculty which can go upto 10 or more. Almost all faculty are fine. i loved the anatomy department the most in 1st year. 2nd year has being fine some of my favourite professors whom i can count on are in pathology department and even some in pharma. Fmt department is looks quite strict but they are just amazing at theur work of teaching us. they'll make u fall in love with the subject. PSM is somewhat boring some faculty members will fry ur brain but there are fee fun proffessor and the tutors are again very kind, knowledgeable and fun. Overall the study environment is there . Regular test and PCT really helps with performance in internals and University exam. Things so pretty smooth if you dedicatedly study for these tests. Generally failure rates are very low 2 people failed the exams from our seniors. Non from our batch. Our junior too did very well no fails.

Night Life

3

Gyms area is not well equipped for girls. For guys is also pretty average. There's a canteen which is again not upto the mark. Library is good enough books might be adding more books as year passes. Hostel outing is from 6am- 9pm for girls. Boys Don't really have any in-time. You can visit pandri market, Ambuja mall, a lot of cafes for cafe hopping on a 1-2km radii.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The main aspect that influenced me is the externals and clinicals that made by decision to take this course because more than theory is the postings and clinicals which are neccessary to become a good doctor and also helps you to gain confidence. This is not just a curriculum but is a priority academics that prepares a student to save ones life which is far more important than just learning or reading. And yes it prepares us very well through clinicals and postings in addition to theory lectures or exams. As per my view, improvements in posting durations is very important than theory durations due to the priority. And yes teaching methods may get improve if some more fresh cadavers may get introduced in college every year. Exam are held in two phases, 3 terminals and 1 final. 3 terminals are held whole year with 3 to 4 months gap and finals at the end of the semester which is the final exam. Terminals exams are easy and quick whereas finals are tough and time consuming.

Course Curriculum Overview:

If you're getting into MBBS, you have cleared neet and you have a slight idea of what you're getting yourself into. The subjects are tough, especially anatomy, because of the vastness of the subject. But if you're consistent and making lil efforts everyday, it's achievable without hampering the fun part of college life. Here are a few gem of resources that everyone uses for first year. Biochemistry - jambhulkar notes, Vasudevan/ satyanarayan book Lippincott for advanced studies Physiology - Sembulingam and Guyton. I swear by them. It doesn't get any simpler than this. Ganong for in depth studies Anatomy - Johari for exams Vishram Singh for easy to understand language and super simple diagrams Gray's anatomy for in depth understanding. Embryology - vishram Singh Histology - IB Singh Dissection - Cunningham or Mercy Navis There will be 2 terminal exams 1 pre University and then the final University. Don't rely on lectures to prepare you for this. You'll have to teach yoursel
