My Post Graduation Journey

The main reason of choosing to do M.Com was i always wanted to complete my post graduation and after post graduation i want to prepare for ugc net, jrf to pursue PhD. The curriculum of this course helps me alot like it helps me to understand banking terms, norms, rules and regulations. Now i am capable enough to do business also, invest in share markets, financial securities etc. So it connects me from business, banking , and real markets . The main area where improvement is needed according to me is their teaching methods. If You are giving a real world example that's good but you have to teach its impacts , pros and cons also . Teachings styles should be changed according to me. The duration for completing exams is 3 hours and it is sufficient according to me. You can complete whole paper if you know everything. And the level of exams is also moderate.

The yearly fees for M.Com is Rs.5,000 but you can avail the scholarship benefit also. First registration charges is Rs. 300 Admission fees is 3,000 Examination fees is 1,000 Tuition fees is 600 Other charges is 100 Course fee is same for all students whether you belong from any category like Obc,SC,ST BUT scholarship facility is available like UP SCHOLARSHIP and you just have to fill from with certain documents like income certificate of your father, affidavit, marksheets, bank details etc. And the government will refund your fee according to your income certificate. Most probably you will get extra amount than the fee you actually paid. A fund is also created in college for needy and poor students, you can avail that benefit also.

Annual fest is conducted once in a year. Other programs like cultural, orientation, freshers, rangarang etc are also conducted. Festivals and jayantis are also celebrated. Competitions held like mehndi Competition, rangoli Competition, etc. Library consists various types of books with updated version. Ancient books are also available. Daily newspapers, magazines, job opportunities newspapers are also available. You can issue maximium 3 books for maximum 15 days. But you can reissue it, if you want to do so. Technology like projector ,flash cards are also available in some classroms. Digital classes are also conducted. Sports like volleyball, football, badminton, table tennis etc. are also available. Tournaments are conducted on distrct, state and national level. Students participate in these Tournaments. NCC is also available. I have no idea of any social groups,clubs run by any student or not.

I didn't applied on other college. I only applied for this college and i got selected in this college on the basis of my graduation marks. I choosed this college because it is one of the best college in kanpur and is good for post graduation courses. No, i didn't get any type of rejction from ther colleges. The admission process of this college is merit based like if you want to pursue graduation, you will get admission on the basis of your 12th marks and if you want to do post graduation, you will get admission on the basis of your graduation marks. Merit list pubblished on college website , whoever falls under the category may go to the counselling process and a final list of students published on their official site. Admission process is quite simple.

There is one faculty for twelve students i.e. 1:12 Some teachers are very supportive, friendly, guides you, mentor you. But some are like they don't care anything. They are in their own version and just keep enjoying their lifes. The faculty that i like the most was my accounts teacher. Really he is too good and understanding also. He will try his best to solve your problem. Exams were conducted on annual basis. We called them final examination or annual examination. But in the mid of the year or in the mid of syllabus internal exams were also conducted to check the level of the students. These exams were conducted with the aim to evaluate youself, work on your problems and prepare for your annual exams. Assignments were given monthly and you have to complete those Assignments on time. The level of the exams were moderate according to me . Approx 5 to 6 students failed, otherwise all students get passed.

There is no gym inside the college but canteen facility is available. Price of canteen are fine. The opening time of library is 9:30am and closing time is 3:30pm. The most favorite spot for hangout is garden . College has a very beautiful garden and the environment is also excellent . We use to sit there, party, eat meals and snacks. Outside the college, in front of college Z square mall is situated. Nanarao park in phoolbagh is also famous and the area is also safe for gilrs. Restaurant like Mr. BROWN is famous for yummy delicious burger. Overall i enjoyed my college life a lot.
