Course Curriculum Overview

4

Some of the courses are quite relevant and upto date. You'll get to learn data structures in second semester only, which is good to be prepared for real-world applications. While some of the subject seems unnecessary and irrelevant.

Internships Opportunities

3

Students on the completion of there sixth semester undergo Industrial Training in summer break. There are students who gets into really good internships offering stipends in lakhs. Lot of companies provides these training, such as, Accenture, Microsoft India, HCL Technologies, etc. For a good internship, one should have good projects which Standouts from other projects.

Placement Experience

4

Most students started getting placed from their 7th semester. A lot of companies visit the campus such as Microsoft India and LinkedIn who offers great packages. Highest package goes upto 60 LPA while the average package is around 8-9 LPA. Around 85% of students gets placed. My plan after getting the degree is to get placed from college.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees is approximately 3 lakhs 60 thousand on an average as the 4 years course fee is close to 14 lakhs 50 thousands. The tution fees is around 2 lakhs 90 thousands and the development fees is around 70 thousands for a year. The hostel fees is 1 lakh per semester. You have to pay 20 thousands as well for caution money which is refundable after the completion of course. There are few seats for scholarship on the basis of your parents income and some government scholarships.

Campus Life

3

You won't find a lot of fests in college, although there is fest named as Impressions which is held annually for two days. It's not that big as it happens in DTU and other colleges but it is pretty fun. The library here is packed with books and computers so it's great. Classrooms are well maintained. Sports is quite dead in here, though there are some active clubs.

Admission

I did applied to other colleges such as AIT pune and counsellings such as JAC Delhi. I preferred JIIT over them for mainly two reasons 1) It is close to my house 2) I was getting CSE with ease. I wasn't getting CSE in DTU and NSUT. You have to apply for admission through the college website on the basis of your boards marks or JEE ranks. For CSE, you need more than 96% in your 3 main subjects and more than 95 percentile in your JEE exam.

Faculty

4

Most of the faculty members are knowledgeable and they teach good. They know how to interact with students. Although there are some of them who are pretty hothead. In lectures, faculty to student ratio is 1:60. In tutorials, it's 1:30 while in labs it's mostly 2:30. There are 3 exams here it's manageable. Some students find it difficult to clear the exam. The course curriculum on basis of relevancy is quite decent.

Night Life

4

Apart from mess, the canteen is open till 9 pm, gym is open till 8 pm and you can visit library till 9 pm. There are not much restrictions for boys to hangout in night, but for girls, there are strict rules. There are lot of cafes and other stuffs around campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I want to be a software developer. The faculty are very kind and helpful. Almost every faculty member has completed there post-graduation from various established colleges. The examination scheme is a little bit slow here. Students can pass their semester exams if they are paying at least 45 per cent of their concentration.
