Dislikes
- Hostel food quality is not that appreciable but still better than others.
- If we have to go out from the University for some reasons we have to apply for gate pass first and need to make sure it is approved by the warden
- Whenever you leave university always a text is sent to your parents phone that your ward has left the university at this specific time and all info.
Course Curriculum Overview
my interest was already in IT field and I was attracted towards computer world and the Computer science in chitkara is fine. I'd say not so good and not so bad. The students in this university are like 2400 in 1st year CSE and that's a lot to be practical.
Internships Opportunities
We get offer internships from our 6th semester and goes till 8th semester till you're placed!! But as per the jobs in CSE field are dropping the internship ratios are dropping as well which isn't good for students like us. So we gotta work hard and maintain our cgpa for University placement.
Placement Experience
The placements of my university is not that good but still better in the area. But to be honest you just can't be completely based on campus placement you gotta work hard to get a good placement. Otherwise you'll be left with 3-4 LPA job
Fees and Financial Aid
Our complete freedom structure per semester is 120000 for 6 months it includes all the tution fee and the hostel fee is 67000 for 4 seater common washroom and cooler. Yes the fee increases for every year newcomers by something approx 10000-20000. There's no quota thing for SC,ST. Scholarships aren't as common as they're in other universities.
Campus Life
Campus life is very good in here.i got a lot of exposure as the people here are from different different places in North. If we talk about clubs, I personally got selected in Dhwani club which is for singing but I couldn't keep up with it as I was too busy in academics. library is the peace of the university. I love to go there more often to study. With a lot of books choices like novels, academics, geeta and all other.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility is good as per the fee paid but the mess food is not upto the expectations from the money we spend. But in our rooms if we get any issues they resolve it in under 24 hours and that's good.
Admission
As in the Punjab and Haryana area, the best university I could found was chitkara University as per advancement, infrastructure and facilities. The staff is helpful and easy to work with. The professors are highly qualified.
Faculty
Our faculties are very understanding and helpful. They help in each and every thing we ask them to help in. They're supportable enough to handle our situations well. Our course structure is good and settled on a punctuality for students to work on. Our exams are CBT always.
Night Life
Nightlife is very good and refreshing. Personally, I daily go for a night walk at around 9:20-11:25 as the hostel gates are open till 11:30 for my hostel and usually 11:45 for girls hostel and 12:00 for boys hostel. There are alot of hangout places in my university which are completely fun.
