MGIT-Review from second year student

I chose the B.Tech Computer Science Engineering with specialization in Artificial Intelligence and machine learning course [CSE(AI & ML)].The course is tailored to fit the skills of an AI and ML enigneer.The mid exams are conducted every 8 weeks and one semester exam after the second mid-term exams.The semester exams are bit difficult then mid-term exams

Organisations like mojaloop, Arcesium, DRDL, PepsiCo. etc. have offered internships to many students with around 30k-60k per month.Students engage in real-world problem solving projects to get into the industry, ready.

The highest package ever offered was 70lpa(seventy lakhs per annum) and the average package is around 6lpa now.The college promises around 95% placement guarantee.Most of the students get placed and other students plan to do masters in IITs or foreign universities for better packages.

The yearly fee is Rs. 1,60,000 /- (One lakh sixty thousand rupees) for the students who get in by EAMCET and the students who get in under B-Category application. Scholarship is available for the people who are under EWS category like SC/ST or any other category that comes under EWS(Economically Weaker Section) .After the scholarship is awarded,the yearly fee would be Rs . 40,000 /- (Forty thousand rupees) . The caution fees would be around Rs. 3000 (Three Thousand Rupees).For the students who get in under management,the fees depend upon the intermediate marks or 11th and 12th standard marks

There are two fest organised in an year,one is techincal fest and the other is the biggest cultural fest of the year named nirvana to which celebrities also attend. The library is filled with all the books you'll ever need and with a high-speed wifi access. It is attached with a digital library that is well equipped with digital computers and it's air conditioned. There are projectors in almost every classroom for visual teaching purposes.They are multiple grounds for basketball, volleyball, cricket and football. Indoor games like chess, carroms, table tennis are also available.There are multiple clubs like music, dance, drama, art, literature and recently a club dedicated for AI.

The minimum EAMCET rank required to get into CSE(AI & ML) for BC_B category boy is 12k and maximum was around 40k.The college is listed as 9th best engineering colleges in telangana .As any other student I've applied for the other colleges too(the top 8 colleges) but had no luck.I got alloted in GRIET (CSIT course - Computer Science Engineering(IOT)) but wasn't that interested in that course,so I've applied again and got in MGIT ,CSE(AI & ML) in the special phase of EAMCET seat allotment

The faculty is well trained and their teaching is great.The principal and the teaching faculty are very considerate and approachable.There are some faculty who needs more training to be good.There are 2 mid exams and one semester exam.The mid exam is of 40 marks(the average of both the mid exams) and semester exam is of 60 marks.The exams are not too easy or too hard,they are of moderate difficulty.

The classes usually end at 4:15pm and the buses start leaving at 4:30 and the college runs till 5-5:30pm.There's no hostel facility in the college.The college is not open at night generally except on the fest days.
