Not good enough

It's tier 2 college and probably the best tier 2 college. However, be very careful about choosing this and weigh in your options properly.

The course curriculum is at extremes. Either it will be completely detached from the realities of the jobs you will get or it will be so close to it that there will be no theory taught whatsoever. Some of the courses taught would be completely useless given the kind if jobs you are going to get.

The college provides internship opportunities with various companies and every student will get an internship. The internship experience is completely dependent on the company you get internship with. Stipends vary from 70,000 to 0.

Most of the jobs opportunities you will receive would either be in business development for IT companies or core sales jobs. Followed by jobs in finance sector. Very few HR and Marketing jobs. You'll be lucky if there is one job opportunity for operations.

There's only one major event which is named as NEXUS which is an annual cultural festival. This will involve various management competitions and plenty of other competitive events along with performances from a couple of celebrities. It lasts for two days.

The fee is comparable to an IIM and has to be paid in 4 installments. It is a bit on the higher side but still pretty low when compared to some of the other private colleges in the vicinity of FORE like IMI.

There are no scholarships available as far as I am aware.

There is no sports facility available except 2 table tennis tables and a parking lot which doubles as a badminton court after 7PM. There are two computer labs with a total seating capacity of around 200. The library is pretty small but you won't find the need to go there often because all your course books are provided to you on day one of each semester.

The hostel facilities frankly are pathetic and very expensive. The hostel facility in the first year will cost upwards of 1.5 Lacs for the entire year and it's a one time payment. There is no wifi. You will have to get your own connection. Electricity bill is extra and it will be more than what you pay for your entire house. The food is terrible not because the cook is bad but because of the quality of vegetables sourced. The hostel is not in the campus and its quite a walk. The second year the hostel facility costs upwards of 1 lac and you don't get food. So you will have to manage food yourself. The rooms are on twin sharing basis and you will never get your security deposit back.

Senior students are pretty friendly and will make you comfortable. Most of them anyways. The alumni network is strong and helpful although with every passing batch the network continued to dwindle.

First there will be a mid term (24 marks) , then 2 quizzes (10 marks), then an end term (36 marks), class participation (10 marks) and a group or individual project (20 marks). All that totals upto 100 marks. Based on which you'll be given a grade ranging from A to F.

I gave the CAT exam and based on my results I got a call for the further process. The selection process involves an general knowledge test, a written ability test and then a final interview by a panel of three members one of which would be an alum and the rest would be the professors.

The faculty is top notch. The also have a big pool of guest lecturers with vast industry experience working for MNC's and various government bodies at national and international level. College has teachers which have worked with the finance ministry of this country to the ones who have been advisors to World Bank.
