Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is very relevant in real life scenarios that helped me choose this curriculum. The curriculum offers opportunities to the students that to preapre for our job. The lab practicals and experiments makes the students ready. The course is up to date I feel but the experiments could have been better relevant to real life. The timings of exams are once every six months and the hardness is quite hard compared to some other colleges
Fees and Financial Aid
For Bsc Microbiology we need to pay 20000Rs. admission fee, Rs 37800 as semester fees and 10000 Rs caution money. Every semester the student needs to pay 37800 Rs per semester. The fee is same for students of all categories. The scholarships are offered to students with high merit like cgpa above 9. Other scholarships include Swami Vivekananda merit cum means scholarship.
Campus Life
The Annual fest organized by SNU is AIU fest held every year. The college also participates in many intercollegiate events including xavrang, umang, amiphoria. The libraries are well equipped with books and journals. The classes are equipped with air conditioners and projectors. The college organizes hustle football event every year. The college has eco club music and dance club. There are dance teams that participate in intercollege events.
Admission
I did not apply for any other college hence Snu was my first choice. I did not get rejected by any college but my neet rank was not as per cutoff. The admission process of Snu is online but there are no exams taken, only guys above 60% of marks in class 12 are eligible to apply. Mostly neet aspirants who could not clear the cutoff are my classmates of my class.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is about 17 to 1. The faculties are friendly and supportive and easily approachable. Dr. RP sir is a supportive faculty I look upto. We appear for exams in each paper per semester that is once every six months. Around 4% of students fail to clear the exams and the exams are hard compared to some private colleges.
Interview Experience
The college promotes group discussions of biotalk in the form of conferences. In class the faculty members encourage discussions on research papers in a cumulative effort. Several exhibitions are also encouraged. The method of admission is fairly easy and simple where we need to provide accurate documents and notary papers along with fees for admission.
Night Life
The college has well equipped gym for the health of the students and NKDA ground near the college is booked for further sports events. Also there is a basketball court inside the campus. There is Melbourne cafe inside the campus and variety of food courts. The hostel of SNU is located outside the campus. The ampitheatre and basketball are the common hangout areas besides Melbourne cafe. The locality is safe to roam around night for girls as well.
