Course Curriculum Overview
BA(Geography) is a bachelor's degree course of 3 years in which students are taught about the science of earth and its lands, features, inhabitants and its phenomenon. BA(Geography) course has a scope in cartography, survey, urban and regional planning, town planning and remote sensing jobs.
Placement Experience
The college has created a placement cell that organizes many on-campus and off-campus placement drives every year in which students get placed. Placement cell also provides necessary and required training related to the latest technologies and software which are used in industries so students become industry-ready.
College Events
The college has a cultural committee present in the college which organizes an INTER COLLEGE CULTURAL COMPETITION every year in which there are competitions are organized in the categories such as Vocals, Recitation (Bengali/Hindi/English), Dance (RabindraNritya), Extempore Lecture, Quiz, Drawing. Apart from this many local events are also celebrated.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The course is having a fee structure of around 1650 rupees for the first year if you go with the BA(Geography) Pass course otherwise all the otherwise for all the other pass courses, it is around 1400 rupees which is quite nominal as per me. College provides the hostel services also at a very nominal cost.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarships are provided by the institution in the form of financial support from the institution as the 50% in tuition fee concession. There is also scholarship provided from the government in which a student gets between rupees 1400 to 9000 per student on a yearly basis.
Admission
The admission of students is made only on the basis of their academic record. The candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent examination from any recognized Board or Council or University and fulfill the departmental criteria, if any, are eligible to apply for admission. The applicant should apply online on the college website.
Faculty
The college faculties are well and all the faculty members are well experienced in the teaching domain. They share their real-life experience with the students along with the course curriculum and use it to initiate conversations regarding the practical implication of our learning.
