About my college

Positive remarks-if any student works hard enough then the college is the best place where he/she can flourish and nurture his/her skill set to achieve whatsoever goal of target they want. Negative remarks-the selection of the new teachers should be good(which is not the case now) as teachers are the main Pillers who play a major role in making the students capable.

The course curriculum follows the basic structure of aktu, according to me students should be thought what is or will be useful to them in there jobs not subjects like chemistry and mechanical to a student who has opted for CS or IT.

Yes my college provides internships,as I am a new student so I have not come at a stage to do any internships uptil now.i think the overall experience of the internships will be good in the future when I will get a chance to opt for one.

Galgotia provides good placement and job opportunities and companies visit here with good packages. As my seniors have told me the overall package is in the mid range so you have to be brilliant to get a high yielding package.The placement and job opportunities basically depends on the talent of the student rather than being dependent on the college a student should himself or herself try to be capable enough to get any job.

My college has a period of time when fest and events are held where celebrities are invited like guru randhawa,Hardy sandhuetc.There are events relating sports activities like inter branch sports tournament where different branches of different courses compete against each other.

The fee structure is feasible as the college is affiliated to aktu, students can apply for scholarship if the annual income of the family is approved to be ok according to the condition of college. Students can also apply for scholarship if their rank is good.

A friend of mine has a scholarship which he got because he has 8000 rank in aktu exam,in this scholarship he has to only give 6000rs as the annual fee to the college whereas the students with no scholarship have to give 1lakh18k the total annual fee(2semesters)

There are clubs made internally branch wise in which students can enroll into for example singing, coding, dramatics club, management club, robotics club etc. The dramatics club has been to many competitions and has performed very well. Practical lab are good(can be improved),sports section is best(good open space to nourish games like football, cricket, hockey etc) all types of games available. There are events relating sports activities like inter branch sports tournament where different branches of different courses compete against each other.

The hostel infrastructure is good but needs a lot and lot of improvement in the field of food and cleanliness. Food served in the inside hostel canteen is pathetic and students are forced to eat outside the mess. Cleanliness- there are a lot of mosquitoes as no pest control is done regularly. Water supply is also not clean I avoid drinking the hostel water.

The senior students who are the heads of the various clubs formed are really helpful to their Juniors. Juniors can ask them anything without any hesitation of fear of being a fresher. There was no ragging incident according to my knowledge in the college campus so far.

The exam structure has three phase in my college which is affiliated to aktu(Abdul Kalam technical University). First phase- sessional exam are conducted every month which are of 30marks.in this syllabus is less. Second phase-pre University test is conducted after 2 sessionals.in this the syllabus is half of what will be in the final exam. 3phase- the final University exam-it has the whole syllabus.

I got into this college through clearing the uptu exam and went through various rounds of the counseling process.The counseling process allots u the trade or branch in which the person will be doing his/her course according to the marks you have got in the uptu exam. Faults in admission 1.The admission process on the first day was pathetic in the college as there was no proper arrangements of properly collection of documents or even the fee,there was a lot of fuss about the admission. 2.Otherwise there was no problem in admission.

The faculty is experienced in the first year we were thought by very good teachers.The teachers were experienced but according to me they lack the interactive touch by this what I mean is they have the knowledge but are not able to make students understand the concept.
