A College with good infrastructure in South Kolkata.

The relevance of the course is quite commendable as the syllabus picked is prevalent in the date. The comprehensiveness is also really good as it is t otally worth it to spend the time to lean the course. The aspects which influenced me, the main thing is the relevance of the subject in the present world. It prepares us quite well for real-world applications and the frequency of exams is quite appropriate and the difficulty level is doable and well enough.

Internship is a thing which is actually compulsory for the college. You are bound to take upon an internship and follow through with it. The teachers can link you to some good internships as per your choice, and that is always followed by an exam or a viva or a project to show and prove what you've done throughout the said internship. You can also land yourself jobs from these internships, as companies like TCS approach the college.

The college itself holds multiple placement camps. Many decent to big companies come to our college for campus interviews and do mass hirings. The emplotment opportunities from and after teh college are decent, and there are internship opportunities from the college directly as well. From the 2nd or 3rd year, students get opportunities for campus interviews. The packages may vary from 2 LPA, to higher as well. My plan is to do my specialization in computer hardware after getting the degree.

The fee structure is broken down semester wise. For my course, it is around 32,000 per semester, so around 65,000 per year. The admission charges are around 6000 on top of the semester fees. There is no other fees exemption for the castes specifically. Scholarship is available. Everyone who scores above 90% in their board exams are eligible for a scholarship test, which can fulfil a part of your fees.

The infrastructure provided is surely one of the best things the college has to offer. There is almost nothing to complain about with the infrastructur with state of teh art labs with all modern equipments. There is a separate sports arena which is moderately accessible with multiple kinds of games at the students' disposal. The club involvement and social aspects is also done well, and it can be said as far as it goes too much. It is too frequent at times.

The main reason which amde me pick this colllege above the rest is the absence of politics of students and unions, etc. The environment is quite nice and the good thing is, the computer science department of the college is really one of the best in the entire state which makes it worth it again. I did not face any rejection from any other college, and i made the conscious choice of picking this college. The admission process was quite simple and straightforward, and directly without any other test, based on marks of class 12, admission was done.

The faculty-to-student ratio is nothing to complain about. The relationship of the faculties with the students is very healthy and well. They are always available and approachable. The teachers are professional and well-versed with their subjects. From the CS department, professor Utsab Mukherjee deserves a special mention for his efforts and attempts to solve doubts and connect with the students on a one to one basis, not being too strict, and not too lenient either. Exams are conducted from time to time to check the learning of the students. They are taken as per needs and vary among subjects.

The college has no hostel. No hostel facilities are provided. There are multiple hangout places near the college. There is Forum Mall, Elliot Park, Maidan, and the metro connectivity is good as well. The bus connectivity is also good and one can visit the Birla Planatarium, St Paul's Cathedral. There is no separate gym but a state of the art library is present which is open till 8, with all sorts of books as such. The cafetaria is large and open and accessible for everyone. The canteen is pure veg.
