Likes
- The placement of my college is damn good like there is no college in greater noida which can give best placement than my college.
- My college provides internships every year for students so they can get industry experience.
- Niet is the first autonomous college of Uttar Pradesh which is affiliated to AKTU due to this our college makes his own curriculum which is company relevant and gives degree of AKTU.
Dislikes
- Their is a lot of restrictions for first year students like they are separated from other students.
- We can’t go out of the college in first year until and unless all classes are over because of that there is no college life for first year students.
- Attendance issue, in NIET you must have at least 85% attendance otherwise they will not allow you to give sessional exams which helds 3 times in a semester even though you can give end sem exams if you have more than 60% attendance.
Course Curriculum Overview
There is no specific aspects of the curriculum which influenced me to choose this course. So, NIET makes its own curriculum which prepares students well for real-world college also provides internships and the curriculum is focused on coding wor-shops. Their is no such are in the course which need improvement everything is perfect.
Internships Opportunities
So every year student have to do internships for at least 6 weeks after completion of a year which is good for students so they can be company relevant. Many companies offers internships in NIET like TCS,Amazon,Infosys,Microsoft
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for campus placements in 5th semester which is quite good compared to other colleges in greater noida. There are too many companies which visits our college every year like Microsoft, Amazon,Infosys,Samsung and many other giants of tech companies. Around 96% of students gets placed every year.
Fees and Financial Aid
The year wise fees is around 2 lakhs There is no other fees expect tuition fees and fees for absence in work-shops around 1k will be charged for one day leave. For all categories fees is same. In my college you can avail up scholarship if you are sc/st or obc and there is no scholarship for general category which is quite disappointing.
Campus Life
Mainly our college has one festival which helds near diwali which is called JAGMAG which not worth but there are too many technical festivals in which you can take part. Almost every book and journals are available in the library. In every classroom you'll found android smart board, charging ports. Every single sports is offered in NIET.
Admission
I didn't applied in any other colleges as one of my cousins is alumni in NIET so he influenced me to take admission here because this college is the only college which is affiliated with AKTU and it is autonomous body which attracted me towards it. If you want to get admission in NIET so you must have passed 12th class with 75%.
Faculty
Touchwood faculty of NIET is best they are well educated and have masters degrees from IIT's and have teaching experience more than 15 years they also helps students when students have doubts. In a semester there are 4 exams in which 3 of them are sessional exam basically internal and 1 is end sem exams they are quite hard but if you're an above average student you can pass them easily. The course curriculum is totally company relevant.
Night Life
Gym,library are accessible in night also which is good . There are not much spots for hangout around college except pari chowk and vanice mall more to more you can go to noida and there you can enjoy other things.
