annamalai university - best to learn coarse and life lessons , if you want to learn agriculture without much stress - then this is the right place cons - hostel facilities , lack of excursions in our batch

Course Curriculum Overview

B.sc agri course was actually 8 semester with 4 years of study! various subjects were covered during 4 years - agronomy, animal husbandary, horticulture ,soil science, genetics and plant breeding, entomony, pathology, economics , extension were important subjects and computer science, english, tamil, statistics were also given importance as 1 subject per semester! most of the study will be practical oriented ! live field demonstrations and assignments of insect collection and plant specimen collections will be much useful and knowledgeable

Internships Opportunities

we have to stay in a village for 45 days program to interact and know farmers better- RAWE and 90 days stay in town to know about the agro indutries -Tieup ! college will arrange for 1 complete semester of internship learning in final year 1st semester

Placement Experience

various companies visisted and almost all the students got placed 90-95% of placement with starting salary of 15000 per month ! on campus interview will be conducted for final year students every year in our faculty

College Events

plandofest is our faculties biggest cultural event ! it is conducted every year on the month of april ! sporag event is organised for sports persons ! in addition pongal celebration is organised to remember our tradition

Fee Structure And Facilities

since its a government undertaken university the fee structure was very feasible ! fees was 25000 per year of tution fee ! I completed my course (2014-2018) The current fee structure may vary around 35000 for merit and 1,20,000 for self financed on tution fee !

scholarships and loan facilities are offered by our college itself ! students can be benefitted by first graduate scholarships , sc/st scholarships and much more including the reduction in fees of tutuion and hostel fee

Campus Life

Lab facilities are excellent with various well eqiuped lab for different subjects! there is a big playground to keep us engaged with sports ! both the facilities are very well maintained by professionals

Hostel Facilities

Hostel fee would be around 45000- 55000 per year ! the hostel facility will be average since its an old university and meals are abouve average level ! The facilties are okay but it wint be around the satisfactory level

our college maintains an excellent relationship on alumni association ! our senior students guides us on choosing our career parths with their experiances they have come up with ! their guidance influences a lot in us on choosing the right choice of career

Exam Structure

exams are actually easy ! Sytarting with a mid semester exam of (20 marks) per each subject ! follwed by practical (40 marks ) and theory (40 marks) totolly 100 marks on each subject ! final marks are converted into CGPA system of overall 10 points

Admission

The admission for b.sc agri is wholly based on the mirit with complete transparancy ! your +2 marks in 4 main subjects of biology,physics,chemistry and maths is considered for admission ! If you are from bure biology stream then biology,physics and chemistry marks are considered ! i got 188.50 cut off out of 200 ! and i got selected in the first day first phase of counselling ! the admission process was completely transparent with ease and simple procedure

Faculty

All the teachers are very much experienced with good vast knowledge on subjects as well as friendly with the students ! We have the best faculty with good infratures ! there will be seperate class rooms for each and every subject ! annamalai university is one of the asia's oldest and largest university !

This course have the last two semester that is the fourth year as all India study tour rave and experiential learning in which you have no exams from the TNAU by rather than focusing on field in our experiences of the student by the students are placed upon in particular village allotted to area office so the students would face the struggles and experience of an agricultural officer in field level and get contact with the farmer and intraway we also get many certificates it will be useful for as career in all India study tour we are exposed to various states and cities of total India we will travel to various station in located in all over the country and we also get a huge exposure to it in inexperiential learning we are allowed to choose two modules in which one for one subject based upon the college this providing at the time we get exposure up on the practical and the industrial aspects of how to produce something either in the field of agriculture Horticulture aquaculture poultry etcetera. Clampes you based upon agriculture aspect and it is also useful for UPSC aspirants too improvements is that you can add some transportation facilities from main city to this college because it's located in the rural area and also there are need to be more labs of higher advanced the exam is for two and half for a 40 marks of the final year exam and the practical exam maybe depend upon external who comes mostly it is also around some three hours and The Viva may extend up to many time based upon external and the midsem for 1 hour

Only after 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement but without arrears. Bayers , Tata Rallis, auxin bio science, this are fertilizer companies . They only conducted interview for marketing category. Average package 40000-50000 . Low number of students only choose placement most of all chosen higher studies. Job or entrepreneur
