Remarks
If you are a student aiming to experience a fun & happening college life, I wouldn't recommend you to take admission in Dahanukar. However, if you're a career oriented student who also wants to showcase his or her talent you have the most supportive college of all times.
Course Curriculum Overview
Dahanukar has a wide range of courses to opt for. They have been constantly adding new courses - both degree and even short term. Thus giving the students a varied range of career options to build upon
Internships Opportunities
I don't think the college provides internship. But, it has good co curricular activity options. The college also tried to start it's own start up where I think students were given stipend. Apart from that I don't think there is an internship available
Placement Experience
Dahanukar is also known for it's campus placement. I didn't apply for the placement but my friends did. Many of which did get jobs. Major companies who come for interviews would be Tata Consultancy Services, Edelweiss, etc
College Events
The college is known for it's fest - Kurukshetra. Which is the umbrella festival of Dahanukar. Under that, every course has its own festival. Some of which are : MerQrious for BMM, Nivesh for BFM, etc
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is feasible like most colleges. The fee structure is yearly. The fees are considerate compared to most colleges of it's stature. It has to be paid at once though, but for special and genuine cases you can pay it in installments.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college does have a student scholarship for merit list students. One can avail it by applying it while taking admission by mentioning it in the form. The documents needed would be passing certificate or marksheet of the corresponding year ie. 10th or 12th.
Campus Life
The college has 3 computer labs - 1 solely for BSc.IT students, 1 for Bcom and 1 for all of SFC (Self financed courses). However the college is mostly famous for it's Natyamandal - Theatre Magic. It's known all over for winning various and even prestigious competitions. The college is decent in sports as well.
Hostel Facilities
I'm not aware of any hostel facilities of Dahanukar. So I don't think I could comment on the infrastructure and facilities provided. Though I've heard that there are student exchange programs held by the college so I'm sure they have some means of accommodation
Alumni/Alumna
Though I'm not a part of the alumni network, I've heard about the activities of it. I'm only connected with the senior students via social media and whatsapp, though the alumni makes sure to host 1 gathering/event every year
Exam Structure
The exam structure is as similar as other colleges. There are 6 semesters. Each year consisting of 2 semesters each. 75 marks of written exam and 25 marks of internal exams. Internal marks are then further divided with Projects, Presentations, Class Attendance, etc
Admission
I applied online on Mumbai University's website. Later on, I printed the form and went to the college on the given date with my documents. There were 2 processes, 1 included with the verification of the documents and second was the application. After that I waited for the merit list. after my name appeared in the list I had to pay the fees to take the admission. The payment was strictly in the form of Demand Draft/Pay Order
Faculty
I believe Dahanukar manages to get the best faculty in the industry. Both permanent as well as visiting faculties are well known and good with their respective subjects. They even have the best of guest lecturers coming from the industry
