Good college in Rajkot

The placements could have been quite better than they were especially for Mechanical field.Some of the rules levied by some branch heads were very hard and they could have been a bit ease on them. Encourage to participate equally in other co-curicullar activites.

The entire course curriculum is a vast one. Theoretical and practical subjects cover the entire course. But there could be still more of practical application knowledge which could be delivered. I personally feel students should be given a chance to change their field after the 1st yr of college as in 1st yr they came across all the subjects of all the fields, so they might have discovered their interest in particular field.

No, they would not exactly provide internships but instead they would help in finding out companies which would give internships.The internships were usually were just knowledge transition and stipends were not given for them.

The placements and job opportunities specially for Mechanical were very limited and the companies also provided low salaries. However the Computers and IT people had good placements alongwith good placements offers during their prefinal year.

There were many events celebrated in our college from Technofest to the cultural and sports festival named GALLORE. Gallore was a big event as it consisted of cultural as well as many sports events and very competitive event.

The fees structure very feasible as compared to other engineering colleges. The bus facilities were also available and at a feasible price. overall activities, stationery and other equipments at the college are available at a feasible price.

I haven't came across any scholarship or loan facilities offered by the college. If they started giving scholarships based on ranks in academics and excellence in sports the college would touch high levels.

The labs were good. They were equipped with sufficient equipments. But the lab sessions could be more interesting by make the sessions more lively and by interactive discussions regarding the topic. Sports activities were not included in the curicullum.

The hostel infrastructure was very well maintained and had good and adequate facilities for the students as well. Well ventilated rooms and good bathrooms as well. 24/7 running water and electricity facility for all the students.

The alumni network developed recently is growing good. The seniors are helping out the students in all the possible way they could.The repo of students with the professors also played a good role in moving ahead.

Exam structure is pretty simple and almost the same as other colleges. There were 2 internal exams of 40-40 marks each and the aggregate marks were converted out of 30marks. The final semister exams were of 70 marks and based on both the marks grade points were given.

The cumulative marks of HSC subjects(Phy, chem, Math) and GUJCET(entrance) were taken into consideration and based on them a merit list was prepared with the ranks. All colleges had different cutoffs of ranks for different branches of engineering. We were required to fill in a form in AICTE website and list down the colleges we wanted to apply in. Based on the seats getting filled and as per cutoff applicants were alloted the colleges wherein they had to report to confirm their seat. There were also 2 reshuffling rounds wherein students could apply for the colleges in which they wanted to get admitted.This process would continue for about 2 months.

Faculties play a major role in the development of students overall development. The faculties can be rated as average specially the technical faculties. They would deliver and help out in maximum theoretical knowledge.But the faculties for Career Development programs were excellent since they would focus in overall grooming of an individual.
