- The first thing to talk about is the college environment,it is really awesome and very enjoyble.And the laboratories are pretty much big and there are number of labs present in the college.And also the classrooms are good creates a good environment.
- The university is really good for research purpose because it has a lot of equipments for research and development.Many student try to create there on projects in the college and faculty are well supportive.
- And the exam system the management follow is good because they conduct exams in a scheduled manner making then students to fell comfortable and can also remember the things they have studied.
Dislikes
- The infrastructure is pretty bad i would say.Because the classrooms and labs are far from each other and we have to roam long distance to go from lab to class and viceversa.
- There is no pro[per playground for the students tom play sports .And the management also wo't take much responsibility about that.They conduct all the vents in the same ground making it even more worse.
- We have to travel via buses provided by the college to go to college from hostel to university.And the students rush in to the bus and also the road to college is worse.
Course Curriculum Overview
Its completely my decision to join this university because my realtives chlidren have studied here and they suggested me to join. And I haven't got good rank in APEAMCET so joined here. I also lkied the fee structure that i got .And i feel reasonable to have that fee based on the facilities provided by the management. The exam timings for the unit and mid tests are 1 hour 30 minutes .And for end sem exam it is 3 hours . It is very good time for writing the exams.
Fees and Financial Aid
I am Kiran studying Computer science and engineering 3rd year at Vel Tech UnIversity. The fee structure of this university is based on three phases i.e., phase1,phase2,phase3; NOTE:-THIS FEE IS PER SEMESTER Phase:1:-65,000 Phase:2:-72500 Phase:3:-80000 This is the fee structure when i joined in university in 2022. I got the phase2 fee structure i.e., 72500 per semester .This is the tutuion fee. And the hostel fee is 97000. The fee structure is common for all the students and the fee structure is given as per your date of paying the sem fees at the start of your admission. The fee will be more if you join late.
Campus Life
The biggest evnet in our university is LAVAZA where many cdlebrities were bought to colllege and a power packed event is conducted i the college. It is held in february or may every year,no matter what they will obviously conduct it. And there will beFLASH MOB that is the freshers party where they reveal the date of the LAVAZA event. There is a central library in the college that consists of all books that are required for your course of study. Many sports events also happen in the college like cricket,kabaddi,volleyball,basketball,track events,ect and ,any more.... And alslo there are NCC AND NSS clubs are there many of the students have registered and got placed in ti through an exam. And many clubs like arts club,music club etc.,
Hostel Facilities
There are 4 hostels, for boys namely PRINCE, B3COMPLEX, LEADERS,KINGS. In all the hostels the food is same and ther is seperate food for the veg and non - vegetarians. And also seperate food for north and south indians. You can go for what ever you want ,no one stops you when it comes to food. Quality of the food i would give a 3.8 out 5 because sometimes it is not that good as i mentioned before. But sometimes the food is really delicious. Hostel fee will be around 97,000 this fee is for 3in1 , 4in1, 6in1,and 8in1 and for A/C it is around1,08,000 And there are also some PG's available near the university.
Admission
Well i haven;t applied for other colleges ,i have just tried for the APEAMCET and JEE but haven't qualified so i chose this university . And my realtives suggested me this university.The fee structure is good for the course i have selected. The admission process is really simple that you can come to college and pay 20000 admission fee and can block your seat in tis universiity. And another way is to contact some faculty that are allocated by the college only for admissions they take care of the admission online. Its better to apply more colleges rather than sticking to a single college like me.
Faculty
The faculty-to-studetn ratio is around 1:35 The faculty are really very friendly .Not all facutly but some of the faculty. Many of the faculty speak tamil.Thehy only speak in english during lectures . And they talk to you in english mostly. My favourite faculty is SIR.SARAVANA KARTHIKEYAN. ,he teaches us computer networks. He is really friendly and teaches us clearly and perfectly. There will be 3 unit tests and ,2mid tests per semester. And one end semester examination every semester.
Night Life
Comin to gym it is free for all the students who are staying in hostels. There are 3 boys hostels and 1 girls hsotel . Ana there are seperate gyms in every hostel. There is minimum equipment in the gym for workout.I would say it is more than enough for a student. Campus timings are: 8:45 to 5:35 After 9:30 no student os allowed to go outside the hostel . There aremany restaurants available around the hostel namely JARVIS,HAWA,etc.. These restaurants are available around the hostels . And also there is a canteen in university,and also in the hostels. The hostel food good as hter is diferent food for the south and north indians.
