Life at Galgotias College

The whole education system is lacking major changes. The first years consists of C programming and Python but all other unnecessary subjects which are of no further use. Moving forward for the rest 3 years the curriculum is very practical and comprehensive. There is complete focus on overall student growth. Most areas of focus are induction of more exposure to the industry and new generation innovations.

Most of the companies are mass recruiters. TCS and Infosys. But various companies of NCR region like Accenture and Deloitte offer good stipend of upto 70-80K payment. There are various projects assigned every year by the college to the students.

The overall placement of the college is good enough. The Average placement is 6 lpa. Where as the median package is 5.5 lakhs per annum. The internship opportunities are very great too. Mostly of campus placement are also positive with students securing high packages. The highest package offered was last year of 42 lpa.

Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology is one of the renowned and most prestigious institutes in all over U.P. The total fees of our 4 year course is nearly 4.4 lakhs The breakdown goes as for the first year is 1.14 lakhs including all the fees. And then for the 3 consecutive years it is 1.05 lakhs. The in campus hostel facility are also well equipped. The hostel fees for the 3 seaters range from 90K to 1.5 lakhs for AC and Non-AC.

I would rate my college overall exposure to be fine and very entertaining. Most of the activities are focused on the co curricular. There are various various clubs and events planned every year for the students for overall development. There are various sports complexes for various sports and events.

I have friends who are in hostel. There are various hostel facilities like gymnasium and athletic park. There are various sports complexes indoor. The rooms are spacious well equipped with all facilities. The process for applying is same with the admission process and is very easy to accomodate. Due to the region of NCR the affordability is on the heavy side.

I earlier applied to various NITs and was offered lower branches in lower NITs. So I decided to join state government colleges. I applied to various private colleges. Like Manipal and SRM. I didn't take admission due to the heavy crowd and overall reputation of these colleges and due to very high fees and low overall ROI. Then I applied in UPTAC counselling and filled my choices of the colleges. And in the first round itself I was assigned with Btech AIML branch in Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology.

Mostly teachers in the college are from IIT and NIT. They are good with there part and students are well satisfied. There are in total 8 semester in Btech AIML branch. As per the details there are 5 subjects in each semester and 4 practical subjects. There are 2 primary exams and 1 Pre University Test. There is an End semester exam which is the most important.

There are no certain group discussion for admission process. Admission is purely on JEE basis and for the companies. There are various number of rounds aa per companies requirements. Most companies look and select in the first rounds on basis of CGPA and rest are DSA and Aptitude rounds

The night life at the college is one of the best parts. There are canteens to hangout. There is a fountain and water area to chill out. There are various activities to do and have fun with. The timings of gate closing is 10.30 PM.
