Experience at DDU

The curriculum prepares one for the real world application very well by providing on-hands experience by the means of lab experiments and emphasizing the students on making various projects and recommending students on participation in various competition. The lectures could be more distributed and increasing the lab hours. The exams are conducted every month, sessional exams are one hour and fifteen minutes and the external exam are three hours. If the students have paid attention during the classes and prepared well then the exam would feel easy.

There are internship opportunities available for the students in the semester eight. The internship usually lasts for few months. The students are suppose to do several projects and prepare the report on those project.

Students would become eligible for campus placements from the semester seven and onwards. There are many companies that visit for the campus placements every year and there are many offers offered every year. Highest package was around 16,00,000 Rs per year and the average package is around 600,000 Rs per year.

I am i GIA, so my fees course fees is 1,500 Rs per year and for first sem the lab fees is 250 Rs and the exam fees is 2,000 Rs. While for rest of the sems the lab fees is 250 Rs and exam fees is 3,500 Rs per sem. And for Self Finance it is 1,66,950 Rs for the first year and 1,52,000 for second, third, and fourth year. And lab and exam fees are teh same. While for NRI the fees is 4,10,000 Rs per year and for management it is same as self finance. There is MYSY scholarship is available for the students which provides 50,000 Rs or the 50% of the course fees whichever is less. And for sc/st students a scholarship is available which provides the 100% of the tution fees.

There is only one annual event which is usually held in the month february. It is a week long event and has all of the aspects covered. There is wide range of text books and reference books available in yhe library. Most of the classrooms are normal with blackboards in the classrooms. Few classrooms have smartboards and ACs in the classrooms. There is a sports club in our college and conducts various sporting events. There are various students clubs which comprise of students and they conducts various events and activities for the students.

The locality of the area is good and has good environment. The rented accommodation has good facilities. Rooms has AC, fridge, study table, cupboard for clothes and a seperate cupboard for books. Meal quality is not too bad.

I had applied to few colleges out of which this was my first choice. Because of the study environment here compared to others colleges. It is peaceful and quite compared to other colleges. Here the seniors are very nice and helpful and are ready to help the juniors in the best ways possible. Here most of the students focus on the academics and not don't have any bad habits. Admission is done through the ACPC process, eligibility depends on the choice of the program, exam accepted are gujcet and jee mains, and most of the students prefer gujcet for the admission process.

Faculty to students ratio is good and is nearly 5. Faculty to student relationship is very good and very interactive. We can appoach them at anytime and we can ask our doubts at anytime. We can even ask doubts during the class. There are four exams in a semester. Three are the sessional exams or the internal exam which are taken every month. And an external exam at the end of a semester. If the students have prepared for the exam and their concepts are clear then the exam would be easy. And it depends of the subject that how many students fail to clear the exam. There are also practical exam and viva along with the termwork submission at the end of a semester. The course curriculum is very relevant.

There is a gym in the college which the students can access the gym during the evening time. Cafeteries areas is safe and there security all over the campus. Library has a reading section which students can access during the college time. Hostel is only for girls in btech.
