- I liked the infrastructure of our college it is elegant .
- I also liked the way they maintain the surrounding clean.
- The faculty that our college provides is good we also get opportunity to select our lecturer from third semester.
Dislikes
- Food the college management provide in the mess is so bad college students doesn't like to eat in the mess night times as they give the routine food .
- Some of the faculty are not so good like they will be strict all the time.
- We will not be having any of the fests like freshers and farewell, we will be having only 3 to 4 events in an year.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course's emphasis on specific skill, such as data analytics or entrepreneurship and the inclusion of real-world case studies played a significant role in my decision, as they align closely with my career aspirations in the field.
Internships Opportunities
Accenture, Tata consultancy Services,Wipro companies gave the internships to many of our college students. Many companies visit our college for giving placements. The above mentioned companies give internship opportunities to students so that they get experienced.
Placement Experience
Right from the third semester sastra students get eligible to be placed in a company. Companies visited our campus are Wipro,Tata consultancy Services, Accenture,Infosys,TVS,Paypal,Zoho etc.., visited our college. Approximately 92% of the students are placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
Tution fees-170000 Hostel lodging fees-25000 Mess fees-50000 Breakage fines -2000 All other fees-10000 Our college provides Laxmi charities scholarship. Fees of every student is same but they are selected into college by considering JEE score of Inter board of their respective State and tamil nadu people have extra reservation than the outsiders.
Campus Life
Four events will take place in sastra every year,they are Carpedium, Kuruksastra, Daksh,Colloseum Carpedium event has already completed when I was doing my first semester. Kuruksastra,Daksh and Colloseum are going to take place in the upcoming months. Sports and extracurricular activities also encouraged in our college . Gym facilities sports facilities are provided interested people will be selected and get a chance to play
Hostel Facilities
There will be two types of rooms : 1.Single room (individual). 2.Three in one (sharing). I will give 5 out of 10 for our hostel mess menu. Registration process is also so easy for hostels and also cheap compared to PG and separate room. Morning breakfast : Bread butter jam thrice in a week, uthapam,poori,idli , sambar,coconut chutney ,vada,etc Afternoon meals: Chapati,sweet once a week,white rice ,curry,sambar,rasam,semi curd, fryums (or) appalam etc Night : Any tiffin, curdrice daily and no white rice etc
Admission
I did not apply for any other colleges because from first i want to join in SASTRA if I was having a doubt then I could apply for others but I have already taken the decision to join sastra why to waste money for counselling,so I didn't apply for any counselling of any college.
Faculty
Student to faculty ratio is 1:40. The relationship between teacher and student depends on the faculty. As I am still doing my second semester I don't have that idea about the best faculty by the end of second semester I will know the best faculty because for the third semester it's our choice to choose our faculty.
Night Life
By 5:15 pm classes will be completed and students who want to go to gym will go to gym by their respective uniform and by 8:30pm they should return to the hostel block. Canteen is the hangout spot for most of the college students. Outside of our college hostel there will be a hotel green leaf that is also the famous hangout spot for the students.
