Likes
- Very close to the city and can reach the college in 10 mins.
- Good infrastructure with all the required facilities
- Labs, Auditoriums are very good and are euipped with wifi and air conditioning
Dislikes
- The rules are too strict and the students have to maintain the dress code in the campus(uniform)
- Not allowed to quit the campus during the college hours, you will need to take permission from the respective HOD to leave the campus
- The classes are not well maintained and the water keep leaking from the walls during rainy season
Course Curriculum Overview
The subjects that are added to the curriculum are a mixture of different courses and the students have to study which are not even close to their field(ex: Civil and Mechanical subjects in Computer Science). Apart from that the subjects are easy and understandable. The questions asked in the exams are given directly from the material provided which makes easy to clear the exams.
Fees and Financial Aid
I have joined this college through management quota and the fee structure is a bit high when compared to other colleges because you will get a seat in good colleges in Chennai with the same structure. My fee is 1.35 lakhs per year and the donation fee is to be paid by all the students who have joined through the management quota at the start of the engineering course.
Campus Life
The campus is filled with greenery all around. We don't have fests and events quite often. There is a decent place to play badminton, basketball etc. The ground is not as big as it should be in the Engineering college. The infrastructure is good but the classes are not properly maintained. The library is also available.
Admission
I joined Savitha College, Chennai and studied there for a few months but I couldn't bear the stress of studying there. They conduct exams, assignments, and projects continuously which disturbs students' mental state. So I dropped out of the college and joined here in Narayana Engineering College, Nellore which is located in my native city. This is far better compared to that college with minimum required tests and exams.
Faculty
The faculty is good and they teach their subjects well but most of them don't teach the concepts clearly, they give a PPT presentation and insist the students to give seminars about particular topics which they don't explain in the end as it was assigned to students. This creates ambiguity in few topics. Some of them have prior experience and qualification who teach their subject clearly.
Night Life
There are places to enjoy such as Coffee House, Irani etc. Dhabas and restaurants are located around the college. You can play Cricket with friends during the night in the nets which are also nearby to the college. Tea planet is a good spot.
