- I like the environment of the college as all the students (both seniors and juniors) maintain a comfortable decorum in the campus.
- I also like the advancement in tech and infrastructure day by day for the welfare of the students.
- I like the the teaching staff as they are very supportive not only academically but also in other aspects like councelling, etc.
Dislikes
- The college is facing parking issues as there is a lack of parking space for vehicles of the students which needs to be fixed
- The college could host programs and functions in the auditorium rather than the field stage
- The college has a strict no mobile phone policy which can sometimes be troublesome
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is totally relevant in today's date as it is very important for future job opportunities regarding computer sciences and coding. Although the syllabus is a little outdated but still it covers all the core concepts of various coding languages, things like DBMS, etc.
Internships Opportunities
Our college provides a few in campus internships via various tests and programmes conducted throughout all the batches. The selected few get to join the interships. Also the college provides additional skill based courses at a minimal fees which is great for students careers.
Fees and Financial Aid
We pay an admission fees of Rs.13,780 per semester and we have a total of 6 semesters for BCA. Apart from that, we pay examination registration fees which varies from 500-1500 everytime depending on the different fees added like centre fees, etc. The total for the entire course comes out to roughly 82,800 and there are no additional charges except from exam registration and extra skill enchancement courses (optional)
Campus Life
I would say I'm not a very social person so I donot prefer to indulge with clubs but the clubs in our college are surely Excellent as my fellow batchmates are doing excellent joining various clubs of our college. Also our community is very welcoming towards everyone which provides a generous social life towards all of the members of dispur College. The infrastructure is also improving day by day at a rapid rate which is wonderful.
Admission
I chose this college over other colleges due to its high reputation and excellent teaching. I preferred this college over the others also because it is comparatively nearer to my house. Our college has recently been rated as 'A' tier by NAAC which is also a great achievement
Faculty
The faculty of the college is really great and welcoming, not only the teachers but also the other staff like helpers and gatekeepers, they are very well behaved. As I already mentioned, the teachers are very supportive and helping throughout all our issues. Our BCA and BBA courses are of a span of 3 years including of 6 semesters, 6 months each, we have 2 mid sem exams and one end sem exam per semester and the end sem exam's marking is done by guwahati university.
Night Life
The nightlife in and around our college campus is really very peaceful. The teaching staff finally gets to take a break and interact with the students informally. Also the students interested in various games like badminton tend to enjoy those sports in our college grounds.
