- The College needs to develop its infrastructure , also there should be garden type area for chill out after the tight schedule.
- Frequent Fests and Events makes the student very energetic and make them to have a stress free mind due to tight study .
Dislikes
- The Hostels were too much conjusted and the building were too old and there is very less maintainence by the administration .
- There is very restricted participation in various events makes the first year student very disappointment.
- The Labs were too old and machines used were also too old , during the time of RIT JSR.
Course Curriculum Overview
The Course Provided by the Administration is sufficient and very relevent , but actually the Timings of the Classes and Labs might trouble you . The Faculties were highly qualified and the way of their teaching is very effective (you might face issue in starting of the course but you become familiar with it soon) The Special Cause for taking Mechanical Engineering is due to the high Placement percentage and its average ctc package . It also provides a huge scope into the Government Jobs as well as private sector .
Fees and Financial Aid
Our college charge a tuition fee of Rs 62500 Per semester to the all students other than mess and hostel fee .Full Fee wavier are applicable to SC/ST Candidates . the detailed fee breakup are as follows : Tuition Fee : Rs. 62500 (Except SC/ST Candidates) Hostel fee : Rs. 15000 Mess Fee : Rs. 18000 Other Fee : Rs. 12000 The Scholar Ships are only applicable to SC/ST/OBC Candidates : 1. Ekalyan (By Jharkhand Government to Jharkhand students only) 2. NSP (By Central Government based on merit to all students.
Campus Life
The campus is in very confined space and your college life will became so boring . Altought there is a great involvement of clubs in this college . There are very large numbers of clubs in this college which are very active and organize various event for the students. There is a Central Library Facility from where every student of NIT JSR can access the books and can study in very peaceful manner for various competitive examinations.
Admission
As this college is Third Tier College , i will not suggest you to join this college if you are getting a better college than NIT JSR . The main reason for choosing this college is the rate of placement of this college over other NITs . For getting admission to this college you had to qualify JEE (Main) Conducted by NTA Every year .The Overall admission process is very easy and expected cutoffs for this college is approx 95 to 97 Percentile.
Faculty
The Course structure of our college is very tight , It is very difficult to score a good CGPA without hardwork. The Scheme of Examination are as follows : (Per Semester) 1. Teacher assesment : 20 Marks 2.Mid Semester Examination : 30 Marks 3.End Semester Examination : 50 Marks Each and Every Subject Posses a unique Credit and there is absolute grading system not relative marking. Although Some Faculties were Very Helpful but they are very few, not every one will help you in any case .
Night Life
There were night canteens in every hostel in which you can access unhealty junk foods ,and the timings for the night canteen will lasts to 1:00 AM. The hostel gates were closed at 10:30 PM Sharply (For Boys) 9:30 PM (For Girls) There are no hangot places exists in the hostel premises , you had to sleep at night and had to wake up at 7:00 AM in order to attend the classes.
