Guhati Commerce College review

I was always sure to choose b.com after my 12th as i was intersted in accounts .The course cirriclum specially for accounnting and ecnomics is upto date and is really relevant for the current world ,questions regarding real world examples are integrated and that makes in relevant. I think the course should add vocational skill developpment programs to make the students more well equiped for the future. The frequency and timing is same form all the semster and the diffuculty is moderately difficult to slighlty difficult

My course is a 3 year long course ,yearly fee paid by me( I'm from general category )ranges from 4500-5500/- inr at max. I'm currently in my last year of college and the admission fee I paid was rupees 4500/- and the examination fee was Rs.1290 for that semester and a similar ammount is charged fro every semester (1200-2000 at max).There is no fee concession for a general category student ,however there is a scholarship program for students from reserved category and for students who come from poor financial background ; These candidates get a huge fee cut from theor yearly admission and as per my knowledge they only pay at max 500 rupees for their admisson ,however this facility is only given during admission process and not during time for examination registration . Apart from yearly admission fee,we are also charged semester admission fee which is paid by every category student and the amount is at max 800 rupees. Some fee charges are as follows- Examination fee -810.(Every Sem) Computer Lab fee - 80 Practical fee - 340.

The sports facility is lagging behind however ,a new foodball groud is being constructed ,there is slow but sure improvement in the sports facility . The library is well equipped with all the relevant books a student might need and is well mantained with priper lighting . Various annual fevtivals are - Annual Sports Week ,Annual Students election ,DJ night etc

The selction for students was based on the percentage of class 12th and due to scoring above 90 percentage I was fortunate to get into the colleges I applied for .I applied for only two college as I was sure to get admission in anyone ,the other college I appled to was KC Das,and I was almost certian to take into KC Das until the last moment ,when after discussuing with my family and analysing the type of cohort and facilities of the two college I deceided to not take admission in KC das but in Guwahti Commerce College . Admoission in my college is basd on merit and for general the cutof is 90 percentage

Each subect is tougth by 3 teachers,therfore there are plenty of teaching staff ,each classroom has 100 students so as this the faculty to stuudent ration should be 1:33. The faculty i liked the most would me Gour Gopal Banik sir ,as his teaching style is different from the other teachers and his expertise in his feild is relfelcted in his teaching ,he clears every doubt in the mind of the students really well .The first thing in his class he does is a 2 min meditation ,which really helps calm the mind of the student and focus properly in the sums and concentpt of the subject (Accounting ). There is no one I don't like specifically ,however I think PK sir is the one I think, should get some classes to speak clearly ,his pronounciation is really bad is almost incomprehensible In every sem there are two exams one is mid term and other is final the exam difficuly ranges from medium to slightly difficlut ,and the pass percentage is I think almost 98% as only a few student get backlogs in their exam

Our college provides hostel facility to boys and is equiped with gym,cafeteria serving 4 meals a day and commont washroom in every floor .Campus timing starts 9 am adn ends at 6 pm .And at night being a colllege variou street food stalls and restaurant are visited by the student.Students hang out together in the famous commerce poin named after our college just outside the the college gate.
