Life in ACE Engineering College

As the college is an autonomous institution The only changes that are expected is students should be encouraged more for self study and library books rather than providing ready made course materials from the beginning of the sem.

Various internship opportunities such as from amazon, tcs, flipkart right from the end of 2nd year. Girl students are trained for Google women we program in the first year. Selected students get stipend and great experience. Students are made to work on Real time projects, mini and major projects in groups of 3 or 4 that are selcted randomly to ensure equality and distributed team work among students.

Students are encourages for various options such as startup ideas, various hackathons, global challenges or students who plan for higher studies are also guided and encouraged for gate exam. Placement percentage is 70% roughly with an average package of 4.5-5 lpa in companies like tcs, accenture, infosys, capgemini and other product and core based companies. The highest package is 16lpa.

The total college fees per annum that our batch is paying is 1,20,000. Other than the college fees we are supposed to pay 1400 as the examination fees to take up the semester exams. Transportation fee ranges between 15000-35000 per annum depending on the distance. For hostel accomodation the fee per annum is 1lakh. Students who get govt scholarships have to pay 82000. Students who score • below 2,500 in the TSEAPCET get free hostel, transport and gate coaching 2501-5000 get 75% concession in hostel and transport fees and free gate coaching 5001- 10000 get 50% concession in hostel and transport fees and free gate coaching

Fests and cultural events are average. ACE NSS unit is highly active and work their to be available to help the society in best possible ways. Various brabch wise clubs are available to handle the competitions. Classrooms and labs are well equiped with smart boards, and all the components. Library has wide range of course and self help books and journals. Digital library facility is also provided. But the library lacks in novels or literature books. Along with outdoor sports and basketball ball the college has indoor sports room as well.

Academically and disciplinary wise it is one of the best private colleges in telangana with strong placement team and training in emerging technologies. To get admission into ACE Engineering College, TS EAMCET ranks are considered. The cutoff goes upto 90000 depending on the branches.

The faculty-to-student ratio is 1:13. Additional to the class incharge, every 20 students are alloted a mentor who keeps a check on the student's attendance and any other academic issue of the student. Faculties are very experienced and very supportive, they try and deliver the subject to the best and are very reachable to students. They are also open to feedbacks and suggestions from students and parents. Each semester is for 5 months roughly. There are 2 mid terms, lab internal, lab external and then the final exam in every sem. For every 8 weeks we have a mid term exam for 40 marks and end exam is for 60 marks. Mid exams easy and scoring. Labs are also easily manageable.

There is an open gym area which is not very well equiped but has very basic facility. It has a good cafeteria with lots of varieties including snacks. The coolege also contains tea, juice stalls. Cafeteria is indeed a good place to chill and hang out with friends. The college timing is from 9.30 to 4.30. Hostelers can roam around the college till y after which they need to take permission from wardens. Busses start by 4.30 for days scholars. The area around the college upto around 5kms is not very safe to roam after college hours as it is an aloof area.
