Remarks
Well it's all positive. College makes us what we are. Technical is one aspect. But college life cover's all aspects. We not only develop technically, but we even develop emotionally and socially. Staying in hostel is also a unique experience.
Course Curriculum Overview
Various subject related to Electrical Engineering. First year subjects were common for all branch students, maths, physics chemistry, CED, MED. Since second year core subjects were taught like machines, power system and power electronics. Mostly all NITs follow the same curriculum.
Internships Opportunities
No, college does not provide internships, but companies hired people for full time jobs and internships from the college campus. I particularly have no experience of internships. Stipend was quiet good for students who were
Placement Experience
For most of the branches the placement are splendid. For CS and Mechanical average package was 7 lac. For rest the average package was 4 lac. Particularly my branch had 100 percent placements. Many companies do not come for recruitment as they believe that our college students will definitely leave for better opportunities.
College Events
Well this is my favourite part. We had a lotttt may events and all organised by the students themselves. We had " swagat " for the freshers, then tech fest like "techkathalon " and "gnosomania". Wait Culural fest like "culrav" how can left out. Still its not the end , we had grand farewell party and "Sayonara(in girls hostel)" too.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee is feasible as compared to the private colleges. Scholarships are also available on basis of merit and family income status. All you need to understand the proper channel to go about it. Hostel fees is technically not charges and mess fees is partially refundable although it increases every year.
Fees and Financial Aid
Various loans schemes were available. Scholarships were available on basis of merit or if the family income is less than 3 lac and you also need to be a resident of Uttar Pradesh. Rules keep on changing.
Campus Life
All event involved extra curricular activities. Apart from that small gym and big area was available for walking and different exercises. Cycle was also a common preference for the students. Events were also held for the same.
Hostel Facilities
Expectations should not be high for a government property. Boys hostel was still ok. Girls hostel was terrible. Two girls were accommodated in single occupancy rooms as the no. of seats had been increased since the last few years.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni are of great help. We have groups in Facebook and the most active one's are the oldest of the alumni's. Seniors find a way to connect to you be it Facebook, whatsapp, linkedin and are always ready to help.
Exam Structure
Exam structure was simple. 2 Nos. of class yes 2X20 marks and 60 marks end set exams. Class test used to last for 3 days, 2 different subject exams per day (Not so simple for the students). Although this pattern keeps on changing.
Admission
In the year 2010 we had AIEEE paper. I was a dropout. For one year I studied in coaching institutions preparing for the same. I cleared AIEEE exam with a good rank. During counselling in Allahabad, we were required to fill our college preference. Colleges were allowed on basis or ranks.
Faculty
Faculty was highly educated staff. Few of the teachers were research scholars. As it was a government college, some of the teachers did not take much interest in teaching. Books were available in library and awesome internet speed was also there. All you need to do was to study by yourself
