THE GCET DIARIES

As the emerging jobs and ideas in technologies are there in computer science , i chosed this course and also there is a high interest in some tech stuffs which attracted me to join this course. The curriculum is not too good to make a student highly skilled to get a proper job because they follow the same old ways not required in this generation to get a job. A student need to apply many where to get knowledge and roam here and there to get knowledge about anything. The subjects and learnings should be designed in such a way that they could tackle todays job market and other opportunities. The teachers should focus less on marks and more on imporving practical knowledge so that they can benefit them. The exams should atmax 2 in single semester and difficulty level should be according to AKTU and a good time should be provided for preparing exams

Yes there are companies which provides you internships, under various fields. TCS, Infosys with a 40k stipennd are also craked by the students. Students have made various projects with the help of professors, some of them are like Formula F1 car, drones, CNG rikshaw and many more.

Students of 3rd and 4th year are eligible for placements. More than 150 companies offered 750+ Jobs. Almost 70% of the students in my branch has been placed. Highest package offered was 9PLA and the lowest was 3LPA. The top recruiting companies were TCS, Infosys, PTC, Cleartrip, Jinko Contraction, GENX Consultancy Services, Airtel, CIty Union Bank, Emerson, Asix Bank and many more. Some of the students have taken the placement and some of them were invited to internship from 20k stipend to 40k stipend. If the student doesn't get college placement, he need to apply off campus for jobs. I will try to join a good job or start my own startup idea.

Yearly fees of GCET for all the branches is currently Rs.1,15,603 for the First year. This amount is inclusive of the tution fees which is Rs.1,09,603. Other includes security deposit of Rs.5000 (Refundable) and application fees of Rs.1000 (One time) AKTU examinations fees Rs.7500 is also asked every year which is not included in the fees mentioned above and is taken just before the Semester Exams during the Registration period. Scholarship as provided by the government is also apploicable here and also various others scholarships can also be taken by the students mentioned that all the conditions are met by the students. A Fee Wavier category is also available here where the tution fees of the students is removed and only left over fees is asked to be paid by the student.

The freshers party took place in December in which Suryaveer Singh came and entertained us with a good DJ night. The library is well equipped with many useful books as requied by the students and anyone of the college can have access to these books. Many Classrooms are equipped with well maintained projectors and white boards. In campus the sports life is not up to the mark but there are some sports u can play for time pass like badminton, football, volley ball, cricket. There are many clubs like GFG, Rotaract club and various clubs in student council of GCET, which do manages many events, aslo they organises many of them, aslo they help to improve students skills.

In my hostel i got AC room with 3 room mates and also geysers are also present. the rooms are satisfactory and up to the marks. enough space for the things to be kept. The meals are just ok not too good nor too bad. and menu contains different things on different days. No dishes are repeated Registration is simple, you just need to visit hostel, check your rooms and do the payments and you arre done. Also there are various hostels available in different prices

This college is cheaper than other engineering college and provides a better faacilities at this price in this area rather than other engineering colleges. GCET have a bigger campus than other colleges, and provides a nominal placements opportunities and also which is comparable to other colleges. As a student need to learn various things on his own so there is no sense of paying high fees if the college does not provide valueable resouces and placements to you, so there was not a rejection from any private college for me, it was all my decisions. AKTU councelling process and management quota are two ways to get into this college. Follow the aktu admissions process for admission through councelling and for direct admission you need to apply online on college website and visit college for the process.

The faculty to student ratio is enough to get proper learnings and some teachers are really great but somewhere the compromises arises and results in unsatisfactions of the students for the subjects being taught.Although students are approachable to teachers. Till now the teachers i liked are Pratap Sir, Aman Preet Mam, Kiran Kumar, Nitesh Sir, Pankaj Verma sir, Shimpi Mam, Rajni Garg Mam. They are a little strict regarding their subject but teaches well and are friendly to the students. Sadanand sir, Madhulata mam, are some teachers till now i dont like because they dont teach properly and very strict and rude to the students. There are a total of 4 exams namely CAE-1, CAE-2, PUT-1, PUT-2 and there are of moderate to hard level sometimes but not that much difficult a student can fail, depending on the students the paper are on the college level only.

Basically many students like to have snacks outside of in the college canteen after the college study time and they like to visiti many places in which most popular of them are Venice mall, Advent, Garden galleria, DLF malls located in noida, Jagat Farm and many more. These are the most common places every students visit when he is part of this city. Hostel timing is from 6AM to 9PM and campus timing is 6AM to 7PM. At night the safe places are near your own hostels, there many local cafes which you can visit.
