Teaching good but lectures are almost parttime lecturers. Always changed.
College environment good. But our college at busy place.

In our college they provided good teaching. When exam comes all are doing hard work. Faculties and students are take seriously. They give good training for students. How we prepare for exams. Overall good experience.

I studied in SJM college, our college is Management college.Bangalore University I completed my BA Fee at yearly 3000include admission fee development fee . Iam ST category student. Teaching is good. Environment also good. They take library fees also.

Campus Life

In our college only few festivals are celebrated. National festival like independence day, Republic day, Ganesha festival, college programs held by management. Students are studying at library. Teachers provide teaching materials. Books in our class room.

Admission

I applied SJM college because of only for girls college. And good teaching and good atmosphere. Many good colleges in our city. But i choose this college. Very near to my house and safety place. Management good.

Faculty

College environment good faculties are also good but faculties not more less faculties students are more that time. I studied bachelor of Arts. My combination HPS. I studied in Kannada medium. Overall good college.

Night Life

In our college has library, canteen. No gym. Hostel facility also available. Our college at centre area of city safe area. But very much noise around the college. Our college timings 9 o clock to 5 o clock.

A good college for starting your new journey

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible to sit for placement in their final years. The companies which comes for the placement are deloitte, goldmanSachs, amazon and many more reputed companies. And they do make many offers. The highest package reports around 30 LPA and the average goes on around 3 to 4.5 LPA. Around 70-90 percent get placements. My plans is to pursue higher studies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I got a bachelor of arts degree in criminology, psychology and english optional. The branches of criminology and psychology are upcoming in India in the present time. Course taught is revelant and in present. It is regularly updated. I chose tge course mainly due to criminology. Various aspects of the subject is covered in 6 semesters such as forensic, ballistics, cyber, laws, victimology etc. They do take us on field visits. There is one mid sem exam and one final exam. There is record work as well as assignments given at regular interval. The difficulty level is medium.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements towards the final semester of their course. Currently, I have only been using the help of my faculty for internship opportunities, since I am not looking for placements. But they have connections with big names in the communication sector, and they often have personalities coming in to give talks and interact with the students. A great number of students opt for placements and approximately 90% of them do end up getting posted at really good companies. Others choose to continue with higher education. My plan after receiving my degree would be to take up a diploma in literature in the UK, while simultaneously finding myself a position at a good publishing house there.

My college experience

Placement Experience:

From my seniors, I hear that 20/30 % of students from our college get placed. But now being in my final sem I know the reality. For covid and lockdown, the placement sector has been badly hit. Only a handful of companies came this year (5/6 companies). 4/5 people from our batch are placed but no placement for the big chunk of people. From 5th sem students become eligible for placements but in 5th sem, no company came to our college for placement this year. Only in the 6th sem, the placement cell started. Companies that visited till now ( some of them came to take interns and didn't offer full-time jobs) 1) Clevertize, 2) Social Panga, 3) Robert Bosch GmbH, 4) Saatchi & Saatchi, 5) Publicis, 6)PR Pundit, 7) McKinsey, 8) Edsol Edtech, 9) Momo Media, 10) MSL, 11) Genesis BC, Offers: 1.5-3 LPA (average). I plan to send CVs personally to companies through LINKEDIN and other job search platforms because the college hasn't provided us with good placement offers as claimed.
