Course Curriculum Overview

I would rate my course an 8 out of 10. My course includes theoretical as well as practical subjects that i think are going to be real useful in the job hunt. (Or not who knows) anyway yeah exams are held at tge end of each semester.

Class Size: 67Course Fees: INR 8000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fees for this course, i.e., MA economics is around 3700, with additional amount of 2000 to be paid during end sem exams. scholarship are also available for eligible candidates every semester

Campus Life

The vivekanand library of Maharshi dayanand university has a wide collection of books and latest journals and magazines on all and any subjects. The university focuses on sports and entertainment as well.

Admission

Admission in Maharshi dayand university is entrance exam based. There werr around 250 exam takers for the masters of economics course. I applied for several other colleges for the same course but this was the best out of all them

Faculty

There are mostly scholars who teach in my department, i.e, economics department. The head of department is an enthusiastic professor who truly gives a damn about students and studies. Exams are comprehensive.

Interview Experience

Maharshi dayanand university Doesn't have a GD or interview round, atleast for MA in economics course there wasnt One. But it has an entrance test which consists of graduation level economics. The test has 100 questions 80 of which are economics based and 20 misc.

Night Life

There are great cafes all around the campus. There's particularly a cafe that employes deaf people and there food and service is reslly good. Hostels have a curfew of 8pm so That's it for the nightlife.

Before taking admission research about it

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did search for many colleges in gurgaon and noida but they approched me and asked to visit the college but that was my wrong decision I would say They will tell you that this is very less amount in this this course but after months you will know that they ask money only for small things the whole college needs to be improved this college is only good for the people who can afford a lot of money in Every 2 months they take exams which is unit exam and after 1 months the main exam in which the unit exams are very easy but the last exam the final one they take are very different and difficult Don't know from where they make that exams

JGU is delightful place!!

Placement Experience:

EY, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley and all other companies which defies international economics are the ones which recruits students of JGU. Theh even conduct seminars and workshops and tells us the things which we need to add in our arsenal to be fit and ready for placements. Jindal Students of Economics easily score placements worth 5-7 lakhs and nearly all the students who wish for placements gets it too.

OPJGU: Not my first choice, but definitely the right one

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is highly relevant and comprehensive, according to me. The core courses that are mandatory for a student to take are highly relevant and necessary in order to develop the relevant skills and knowledge in that specific domain of the field. Electives on the other hand, are a student's choices and may or may not be relevant directly to the course one is studying. The university offers a wide range of electives and the electives are also taught by highly qualified professors across the 12 different schools of JGU. The end semester exams are either of 30 marks or 50 marks, depending on the course. Electives usually have a 30-mark end-of-semester exam for 1.5 hours. The exams are pretty easy and theoretical and contextual, unless the course one has chosen is strictly application-based and demands applications of theoretical frameworks. The core exams in the first and second year are divided across 50 and 30 mark exams and are often for 3 hours. The exams are pretty easy and theoretical except for the practicum courses, which are deeply application-based. The final year has very few core courses which are for 30 marks.

Remarks:

A well developed basketball court is being provided by the college so that boys and girls can freely and actively play and refresh their minds.It is a huge court .Students love to play here as it is the most fascinating sport.Boys and girls are given equal privileges in respect to the court.
