Remarks
College is decent. It's good for good performers, but those who are average, I'm not sure if it does Justice to them.College can do better if it can bring in better companies for placement. Also, it should not accept crowd of 1200 students in a batch, this is degrading the quality of outcome.
Course Curriculum Overview
IBS specifically follows case based study pattern which is followed by business schools like Howard and Massachusetts. This helps one to get knowledge of corporate world before stepping into it. Moreover, in order to not to make it monotonous, it has continuous evaluation system also, wherein one has to go under continuous exams like presentations, tests, viva's, written or oral as per the convenience of the professor.
Internships Opportunities
Yes. College has placements for internship as well. There is a separate team for the purpose altogether called as SIP team which is guided by members of SIP cell. I was a coordinator for the same. I got placed with Puravankara ltd, paying monthly stipend of 12k on pro rata basis. Apart from this, there are companies which doesn't pays stipend but companies which pays 35k per month as well (although very few)
Placement Experience
College has 95% placement percentage. Average ranges from 5-7lacs pa varying in different specialisations. MNC's like JP Morgan chase and HSBC banks come on campus along many startups are on campus. FMCG is the largest recruiter followed by banks and financial institutions. College also provides pre placement trainings for the students.
College Events
College has various clubs around which many activities are carried out. Marketing club- Markophilia has brnad-it, HR club- Synergy, Parivartan club- for social cause has events like tree plantation, prayas etc, there is club for photography, Fashion club etc. Apart from this there is an annual event called Konflux which gives us a platform to exhibit our management skills.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees is around 7.5 lacs for two years plus some amount for deposit. It need not be paid at a go, but step wise in installments of 1,29,000*5 It also provides loan facility. College's Average package is around 7lacs therefore it's a feasible fee structure.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes. College provides with part time assistance programs like assisting librarian, working for college media club providing perks of around 5-7k per month. I don't know about that much but a friend used to get some monetary compensation from college. Named Shivangi Pradhan.
Campus Life
Labs and sports are not that well maintained. Students are not boosted much for it. Also, they don't have ground to play or open space, it's got an atrium where they celebrate almost all the events and programmes but those are not realted to sports. However the main branch, Hyderabad conducts sports events at all India ibs level.
Hostel Facilities
College is located in Hiranandani, powai. It's got a rented premises, which has only academic campus. It doesn't have hostel accommodation facility. Therefore students stay in nearby area on rent in flats or PG's. Although college provides contact of brokers for accommodating students.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network is not that good, Seniors hardly come and interact with juniors, although they help via LinkedIn. immediate seniors are a little better, they help, approaching them to select subject and electives was fruitful.
Exam Structure
College had continuous evaluation system. Viva's, Presentations , quizzes, and tests are year long thing. Apart from this, college has 40-60 rule where 40 is pre mid term marks and 60 refers to post mid term marks. Aggregate of which makes the final score. After that grading is done and CGPA is calculated.
Admission
I got it via entrance exam- NMAT, IBS accepts scores of many entrance exams like CAT, CMAT, GMAT, MAT etc. However it's got its own Extrance exams named IBSAT. Thus, after the cut off scores are decided, qualified students are called for GD PI process, which is a whole day process conducted at almost all campuses.
Faculty
Faculties are properly qualified and experienced but they lack the capacity to hold on to students. Since crowd is mostly fresher's they need to develop a plan such that they stand up equivalent to A grade colleges.
