My college life

College has positive surroundings with good environment of learning. Teachers are the best part of this college. They use both practical well as theoretical pedagogy of teaching which makes us corporate ready. Here we face every day a new challenge with lots of new exposure to learn.

Course Curriculum is highly designed and updated as per the AICTE Guidelines. There are total 6 trimester in 2 years of PGDM course. Each year there are 3 trimesters, which is held in every 3 months. In Course Curriculum there is SDL Programme which includes Moocs, Live projects, Research Papers publications, SSO, where we have to earn total 14 credits throughout of our 2 years of course.

Companies like Deloitte, Future Group, Aditya Birla, Pantaloons, Tommy Hilfiger, HDFC Bank, Amul, Career360 and many more also visit the college to recruit students for internships. Mostly companies provide stipend around Rs.7000-10000.

Placements in the college are going very well. Almost 70% of the students have got placed till now, in prestigious companies like Piramal, ITC, Deloitte, Aditya Birla Group, Nestle, KPMG, J.K. Papers, Amul, MRF, Mazaar, Byju's, and Bata. There was also an international placement in Indicaa Group with a CTC of 14 LPA. The average salary package offered was 6 LPA, and the highest salary package offered was 17.33 LPA by Khimji Ramdas.

There are various events celebrated in our college like Marketing Buzz, E-SUMMIT, Fresher's Party, New Year Party, Dandiya Night, Diwali Celebration, Sports day, IT Quiz Competition and many more organized by different clubs like Marketing Club,Finance Club,HR Club,Retail Club,IB Club,Entrepreneurship Cell, Cultural Club,Patriotic Club,Sports Club and many more.

Fee structure is feasible. Fee is common for each programme i.e- PGDM (General), PGDM (Retail Management) & PGDM (International Business), i.e- Rs 7.15 Lac + 5000Refundable Security (Payable in four Installments).

No, I had not availed any Loan facilities from my college. But If a candidate clears GD/PI process, College provide them with all the supporting documents required to avail the loan from any nationalized or private bank. As such JIMS do not have tie-ups with any of the banks.

The infrastructure of our college is good. There is enough space for extracurricular activities, academics, and many more. The classrooms are fully air-conditioned with projectors in every class. The college is focusing on digital learning. There are 2 libraries in the college. There is also a gym area where one can work out as well as play indoor games like carrom, chess and table tennis.

College maintain a strong network of JIMS alumni within and outside the country To nurture steady and mutually beneficial relationship between alumni and the Institute as well as among the alumni. Yes the Alumni network is really helpful for us.They provide networking opportunities and information sharing platform for us.

Exam structure is Trimester based in our college. There are total 6 trimester in 2 years of PGDM course. Each year there are 3 trimesters, which is held in every 3 months. For giving exams each students must have 75% of attendance in each trimester otherwise he/she will be debarred from exams.

Faculty members are the most important part of this college for students because they are highly qualified with good communication skills. Every student has a mentor who helps them in their entire two years. All the faculty members are PhD holders, and there are also visiting faculty members who have good industry experience. They use practical teaching methodologies which include case studies, group discussions, games, etc. The faculty to student ratio is 1:3 which is very good. JIMS has a different placement cell which provides industry exposure with industrial visits, live projects, and final placements, etc.
