Remarks
positive is everything infrastructure facility, accommodation, cultural fests, events and activities, hostel mess food, green campus with transportation facility and canteen, labs with AC and sports facility of each type of sports and reputation of the college, The negative- population is very high you should be talented enough to grab the opportunity and sometimes the fines are very high even for single mistakes means security and discipline is very tight
Course Curriculum Overview
it is good but sometimes you have to work hard on some courses due to difficulty level but you can get help from professors and after all, if you grasp your courses well there is nothing to stop you from getting a placement.
Internships Opportunities
no, my college didn't provide internships in my branch at least but college fame can get you some internship try on your own. but ya if you are in contact with some good faculty than they can get you some internship like my one friend got an opportunity in Taiwan and it was paid in the CS branch
Placement Experience
placements are really good from the last 3-4 years means you will surely get placed if you maintain a CGPA above 7 and no arrear history + if you are in some good clubs like technical or automobile branch or in aerospace. but if you are good at coding also or have good technical knowledge you will surely get placed.
College Events
in vit generally max festivals they celebrate like Holi is best among them and apart from that we celebrate makar Sankranti, Pongal, and like independence day with republic day and there are two major events in vit are GRAVITAS and RIVERA where the singers and bands are called they are generally 4-5 day event where you will enjoy beautiful events and games stalls.
Fee Structure And Facilities
the fee structure is feasible if we compare that in terms of placements, facilities and foreign tie-up of college and the exposure you will get in VIT and ya don't forget it is private college so that's an average fee of all the colleges in the same line but you should be in 1st category to be in the feasible range of fees. it also depends on the food accommodation you choose.
Fees and Financial Aid
no, I didn't get any scholarship but if you are a topper or in merit then you will definitely get some scholarship. and yes if your profile is good like you have won some competition or through any sports quota also you can get some scholarship
Campus Life
the labs are good in VIT because they have every machine in labs worth rs up to 10 crores even for students practice and the labs are very big and computer labs are also good enough fully AC you can do your work any empty slots no one is going to interrupt unless you do some nonsense and sports facilities are also good you have to pay them extra for sports like swimming pool, badminton court, snooker, gym, tennis, etc. and in extracurricular VIT is like gold buy you must know how to grab because the population is high.
Hostel Facilities
their are around 15-20 building of boys hostel and 8-10 of girls hostel so I can tell you about boys hostel in 1st-year preference should be blockwise N>M>P but now there is one more block and I heard its good from 2nd year onwards you will get other blocks in which E, D ANNEX AND then l block is preferred and if talk about mess than in special mess than Dblock >Gblock>Zenith special>L block special and for normal mess than G>L>K and for paid mess zenith>rajarajeshwari and food is relatively good and north as well as south veg and non-veg. I would rate hostel-8 and for food -7
Alumni/Alumna
sore if you have any contact with senior you will get the help in placements because they have already faced it what you should you read how to prepare for placements and yes they will help you out get placement off-campus also by reference and VIT name itself is enough to lift you out from huge population applying for the job off-campus.
Exam Structure
exam pattern is basically in three parts CAT1+CAT2+3 quizes+ assignment which weightage is 50 % and then there is a final exam which weightage is 50% and cat2 is an open book exam and relatively tougher than cat1 and yes there are lab exams also along with some subjects. which conduct in two parts and sometimes in 3 parts as well and quiz generally conduct online
Admission
fill the vit entrance exam form, give it, after getting rank you will be called for counseling in Chennai or Vellore where you have to choose your branch according to your rank after that you are going to choose a room allotment( AC or non AC) and food (veg or non-veg)
Faculty
some faculty is really good like Benedict Thomas, OMP suthar because they have a good understanding of the subject and can teach you well. but I can say the faculty of mechanical is best in vit as I have heard of but CS/IT placements are very good comparatively
