Stewart science College

Stewart science College is a well reputed science College in Odisha. But still it needs to develop in certain areas like placements,internships,including more programmes,library. Students here are well disciplined and well-mannered.

Course curriculum is good. Now it's CBCS system. For a three year degree course one has to appear six semesters, two semesters in a year. And syllabus for each programme is prescribed by UTKAL UNIVERSITY.

No. When I was studying there was no internship provided to us. But I think they are available now. It's better to get it checked. Internship play a vital role in giving a real time experience to young students and it's crucial for them to get into it.

Not so bad. They are some placements available for some selected programmes. Placements come form TCS, INFOSYS , etc. But college need to give more placement opportunities to its students,It's very important for the outgoing students.

There are lots of events celebrated in our college. They include all religious events like Saraswati puja , Ganesh puja, Christmas etc. Sports events are also being held every year in our college. Science exhibition,intercollegiate competitions are also being organised in our college every year.

Fees are very feasible. Any one can afford to study here. There are also some concessions available for poor economic background students. They usually take about 10k during admission then for each semester they charge about 2k.

No, I have no knowledge about any such scholarship available in our college. But I think there are few scholarships available to poor students. Also there no need for any loan as college fees is very meager.

Labs are good. There are labs for physics, chemistry, botany, zoology, Mathematics, geology. They are well equipped and maintained. College also has common room where students can play indoor games like carrom,chess, snooker. Outdoor sports includes cricket, football, volleyball , etc.

Unfortunately there is no Hostel facility available. But one can find a good number of private hostels in college vicinity , they are good and cheap. Some of them provide single room lodging with facilities like purified water , food, WiFi.

Senior students are very much friendly. They are always ready to help you. There is no case of ragging in our college. Stewart college is known for its decency. One study here freely and can get great Support from seniors.

According to CBCS (Choice Based Credit System) one has to appear for six semesters in three years to get degree. Each semester occurs in every six months. And various practicals test are also done in college.

Basically one has to fill up form through online site. Then according to one's merit ranking will be done. And about top 30 rankers in each programme will get selected. Selected candidates will get notified and would be called upon for admission.

Faculty are good in this College. They are helpful and quite friendly. Each department has about five to six faculties, headed by one HOD(Head of Department). All faculty are experienced and well skilled.
