Course Curriculum Overview

So, in my point of view, I have chosen data science because it is the future. I have been told this a million times because the future world is going to depend on data. So, studying data science will be more helpful for me to grow even more in the future. So, I have chosen data science. So, in the curriculum to face the real-world challenges, it's a question mark because we will be taught all the tools and techniques required for the data science. And it is in our personal interest and knowledge how we are using it in the real world. So, there are also very less companies coming for data analytic role because they always need experienced people for such roles. But the fact is that we have to get a job to get the experience, right? So, getting a job as a fresher data scientist is a bit tough. If you have a very much passion and interest into becoming a data scientist, these tools and techniques that taught in this curriculum will be more helpful for you to develop yourself in the field. And they are just a basic effect to you and it's up to your interest how you are implementing it in the real world. So, talking about the exam system, it is quite stressful because we only have four months for us and one month will be on leave. So, on the first month, we will be facing CA1. But at that time, we don't even have a knowledge how the subject works. So, it is a difficult thing to get understood. And on the second month, we get the CA2 and on the third month, we will be having the models and on the fourth month, it is the semester exam. So, the difficulty and the challenges in coping up with this system is a bit tough. So, reducing the exam and improving potential classes may be a good solution for this problem because difficulty will be different level for different people. So, reducing the exams and increasing the hands-on training will be more valuable and useful for the students.

Fees and Financial Aid

Hello all, I am Niveta, and I am in the course of my Bachelor in Data Science in Shree Krishnaditya College of Arts and Science, in which I have chosen a course called BSc Data Science. For this course, I am paying 80,000 per year, so in total, for three years, it would be 2,40,000. If there are any internships, yes, there are internships, but only for backward classes like SC, ST. If they have applied for that particular scholarship, they would get it, and if you have studied from first standard to 12th in government school, they are providing the scholarship. If not, you are not eligible for that particular scholarship, and the course fees are getting increased year by year. So, for me now, I am giving up to 80,000 per year, but my juniors have been paying 50,000 per sem, so it would be 1,00,000, and their juniors are paying up to 60,000 per sem, so it would be 1,20,000. So, the course's expenses are getting increased year by year. Is this the course affordable? That might be a question mark, because for me, when I am joining, it is affordable because of the low fees, and also, it is the first time the course has been introduced in the college, so the course's fee is quite affordable, but after these three years, it might be expensive for people spending on it.

Campus Life

I'm not kidding, but our college looks like a heaven, because it is placed on a kind of hillside, and it is filled with plants and trees and beautiful flowers, and the climate is chill there, except the peak summertime, but the infrastructure is so good. We have get to see more birds and animals, not harming animals, but animals like deer and peacocks there, and it is a viewer-friendly place, it is so pleasant in the morning, and at the evening it is even more beautiful. So, there is boys hostel there, and also girls hostel, they can stay there and can accommodate there itself, so the infrastructure is so good that I will give a 5 star. So, the club activities are, it includes more than 36 clubs, if we have interest on any of the clubs, we can join and we can participate in all of the events that have been conducted by the club. There are hackathon clubs, there are Tamil mandram clubs, there are ecosystem clubs, there are NSS, NCC, and there are few more other clubs too. So, if you have interest, you can just join and can participate in any event if you want to.And the most important thing in the campus is that there is no ragging, and the relationship with the seniors is so smooth, and you will meet a lot of good people in your college. In this campus, there are not like any discrimination between the students, all students are treated equally, and there are also many events that will be conducted by the college, like Adividya, Adhirutra, and Flashmob, and a few more other events like Pongal celebration, Onam celebration, everything will be conducted by the college.

Admission

So, I have chosen this college because of the placements, because there are a lot of companies coming in for the placements. So, they also have the 100% placement results. So, the basic thing that we are studying for is to get a job and to be developed in that particular job, right? So, placements are the most important things in my point of view. So, I have chosen this college because it has excellent placement results. So, I have also applied for PSG, but I couldn't get a seat there because they are already full. So, this college is also located near to my location and also the fees are quite comfortable and also the placements are good. That's why I have chosen this college. So, the admission process is basically so simple for you. Because if you are choosing a course, you can directly get into the college and talk with the faculty to secure a seat in the course. And you have to pay the advance to secure a seat there. And after joining in the college, after one month, you have to settle the full amount to get the seat. If you are having a scholarship, that will be considered in the college. And if you need any loan, the loan process will also be arranged by the college. So, the admission process is very simple. If you want a seat in the college, you can get into the college and you can directly apply for the slot which you wanted. If the slots are full, for example, if the course has a limit of having such students, having some students, then you can't get the seat. So, as quick as possible, if you want a seat in the college, you have to go in there and submit the application form.

So while talking about the staff members, there are staffs who you can't approach and there are also staffs who are so friendly with you. It's up to you how you are approaching the staff. If you have completed all the works assigned by them, they will be friendly with you. If you have not or if you're not responsible in the class, there might be some complication with the relationship between the staff and you. So there are HODs, deans, principal ma'am, and class tutors. So if you want to meet the principal, first you have to approach your class tutor, and then HOD, and then dean, and then you can meet the principal. So there is a structure. All the staff members follow the rules given by the HODs, and all HODs follow the rules given by the dean. So, of course, the deans will follow all the instructions given by the principal ma'am. So it's up to you how you have been acting in the class to maintain a good relationship with the staff. Moreover, all the staffs are very kind and if you want to know more about the subjects, they will be encouraging it and they will be helping you out, and there are more knowledgeable staffs in the campus. So, talking about the exam structure, we will be having four exams per year. One will be CA1, CA2, model exam, and then the final semester. For the internal marks, the CA1, CA2, and model exam marks will be considered, and also the presentations and the participation in the class will be considered for the internal marks, and the final semester marks will be combined, and the result will be given based on those marks. So while talking about the core structure, I have chosen data science, in that I have one programming language Python and SQL included for the database management, and I also been taught with advanced Excel Internet Basics, R programming, and database management system, and a lot more kind of analytical things like statistics. And Tamil and English for four semesters, because it is a mandatory thing in the state.

Night Life

I have very little knowledge about this thing, the nightlife on the campus, because I'm a Day Scholar, but my friends are staying in the hostel. The hostel is so secure for girls, and for the boys, the boys hostel is located inside the campus, so it is very easy for them to go to their hostel and get back to their classes as well. But the girls hostel is located 2 km apart from the college, and it is so secure, and the wardens are staying all day there. There are up to 10 wardens for security purposes, and there are 5 more securities to make sure everybody is safe. So it is the safest place for girls to stay in, and also the nightlife that has been told by my male friends is that there will be a lot of animals like deers and peacocks arriving there, and there are a lot of dogs present in the college. And they are so friendly, they won't like harm you, but they are so friendly.and you will have the best friendship of your life as told by my friends

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is well structured and relevant to current academic and real world needs,it hepls built astrong foundation knowledge especially in my field geography, the syllabus also supports preparation for competitive exams and higher education. Exams are conducted regularly and difficulties level is moderate, which helps in consistent preparation, however adding more practical assessments instead of only theoretical exams would be beneficial Overall the curriculum is good but it can be improved by including updated topics more hands on learning, and modern teaching methods
