Likes
- Diversity of the campus. As it is a Central University,people from all states will be here and some foreigners too. Which enhances your communication ability and network.
- Culture. You can explore all cultures of India in a single campus through the celebrations of all the festivals by students in campus.
- People. In campus, u can see strangers helping strangers for all things which is rare to find outside of the campus. People are very friendly.
Dislikes
- Roads are very bad. No proper basic infra like health centre,etc. it's there just for name sake.
- Basic things in labs have to bought by ourselves,which is a basic necessity for which we are already paying for through fees.
- Some professors are not that supportive and judgemental too
Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum is good. But in some cases labs are not that well equipped, which is a key backlog for student's academic activity. In many depts,lab facilities are compromised.in my course,lab equipment is less and if they have, they're bought by faculty's project money. So which is not a common thing to use by all stakeholders.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee structure is as follows for all M.Tech courses: 1st sem ?23042 2nd sem ?3200 3rd sem ?13700 4th sem ?3200 Whoever stands on top in cuet pg merit list,a fellowship is offeredby SAF,which refunds all the expenses of courses and also a monthly stipend of ?12500
Campus Life
The best part of this university is campus life. U can find all kinds of people here. There are clubs like astronomical club,dance club,film club,etc. campus life is never boring. 24/7 u can find people mobility in the campus. U can go out and enter inside whenever you want without any restrictions.
Hostel Facilities
The hostels are good. In first year the hostels will be good but in second year, some hostels are bad. Every year they renovate 2 hostels. The hostels fee is ?1000 per year. And mess fee is payable at every sem according to the rate of ?80 per day.
Admission
I have chosen this university as it stands in almost top 5 central universities in India. And has good brand value. This is the best central university u can join in south india after Hyderabad Central University.
Faculty
No scarcity of professors here. Academic wise it's good but it's being degraded when compared to past track records. And no significant developments inside campus as all main executive posts are being run by incharges,which needs to be replaced by regular office bearers.
Night Life
The most beautiful hangout spot is beach,which is located just 400m away from the University gate. The timings of the university usually are not uniform. They depends on respective departments. Usually the time range is from 9:30-5:30
