Course Curriculum Overview

3

My course is BBA General. I chose this course to have an all-round focus and have a wider scope towards business administration. Impressive subjects like Project Management and Corporate Accounting influenced me to take this course. Many real world applicated subjects like International Business,HRM are really helpful for the students. Subjects like Cyber Law and Environmental Science can be excluded because of their irrelevancy to the course. Teaching Methods must be more application based rather theory. Exams are not that tough if you really focus on the classes and follow-up with the faculty. The dates of the exam are always late compared to other colleges around.

Internships Opportunities

4

There are various internship oppurutunitites provided including International Oppurtunities for students. Real life application based projects are offered by the university for the students. Opportunities in Countries like Taiwan, New Zealand, US, UK are provided for the students for internships and semester exchanges

Placement Experience

3

Students in the final years are eligible for the placements. Companies like Capegemini, DELL,TCS, Accenture,Deloitte Banking Companies like CitiBank,HDFC, ICICI, approach the university. Average package per yr is 5-7LPA and the highest package ever offered was 13.58 LPA by Federal Bank. Every year almost 2-3k students get placed various types of companies.I am going to apply for placemets of the potential companies for me.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college really provides diverse courses and the facult are really expereinced. The fee is affordable which Rs.160000/yr for 3yrs General BBA course. The fee varies upto 20-30k more or less per year for all the courses in the university. There are merit scholarships based on the 12th marks only for the first year and there are also reservation fee waivers for students belonging to SC/ST. EWS students can also avail for fee waivers. There are also orphan students fee waivers to help them. Coming to the hostel fees, it is curently 1.4L/yr for 3sharing and 1.75/yr for 2sharing and might subject to increase or decrease in future. There is also transport services for locals and fee varies based on the pickup point. There are libraries here which doesn't cost any fee for borrowing books but late submission will lead to fines. No extra fees for any type of college exams, lab exams or any fees for availing any type of service from the college. For backlogs, each subject costs 6-10k per subject.

Campus Life

4

Annual fests like ethnic day (every february), freshers (every oct) are conducted for the students. Most prestigious event is INVINCIA which is held for every 2yrs. Every Friday all the clubs have to conducts some events and students can register for them and participate. There is a lot of scope for clubs and events in Presidency University. The books and journals are really wide range and a virtual library access is also provided for the students. There is free Wi-Fi for all the students, projectors for every class, labsetc are provided for the students. Sports events like UDAAN - Inter college sports fest are conducted every yr to encourage students in sports and also many competitions and events are conducted to encourage their talents. The college also has NSS and NCC cells too. There lots and lots of student run clubs, social groups and are still forming which help them with the all-round developments Students can form their own clubs if planned properly.

Hostel Facilities

3

There are 2 hostels for boys and one hostel for girls curently. Chokkanahalli has both boys and girls hostels but separate buildings. There is another hostel Paripoorna for boys. 1bed with mattress, 1 study table, 1 study lamp, 1 full size metal cupboard,1 shoe rack, 1 extra shelf. Attached bathrooms are provided in chokkanahalli hostels (both boys and girls) and common bathrooms in Paripoorna Boys hostel. The meals, comparatively with other pgs around, is really good. The menu is usually repetitve every week. Both Veg and Non-Veg are given. Every day in lunch and dinner White Rice and any Type of masala rice, Roti, 2 curries, Dal, Rasam/Sambar, Curd, Pickle, fryums are usually given. Mothly once food festival is done where not the typical menu items are provided. All the students of the university can avail hostel facility. I availed the hostel facility

Admission

I got admission from Jain University and Christ University and the current one and i chose this one becuase of the affordable fees and better infra. I applied for IPMAT and JIPMAT and couldn't clear the exams. The admission process is very simple. You have to fill an application to approach the college, write a very simple exam and then you will get the admission. You have to pay the minimun amount of 25k for blocking the seat and then you have to come submit the documents and you can attend the classes. You have to clear your 12th exams with min 50% to be eligible.

Faculty

3

The ratio is need to be improved.Students must be really expressice to have good relationship with the facult and depends on the faculty how approachable they are. I really like my Corporate Accounting faculty Prof.Umme Jahanara in 2nd Sem becuase her approach wa really interactive and caretaking. Prof.Amrith Nachappa was good because she focused on the all-round development of the students rather only academic. There are no faculty that i particularly disliked. There are Mid-term exams after 2 modules are done in every subject and Semester Exams are conducted at the end of the semester. There are various types of class assignments need to be done to get the internal assessment marks like writing, presentations or even researchs. Most of them clear the exams with average of 5-7 sgpa per sem and 10% of the students fail to clear the exams. Its 50-50 about the relevance of the coourse curriculum because some subjects doesn't make sense for including in your course but there are also very impressive subjects.

Interview Experience

3

Aptitude, English and Reasoning were included in the entrance test. Apply for the college, Write the test and get selected, Submit the documents and Attend the classes. Minimum 12th Pass is the criteria for Admission. No particular interview is conducted for admission and no hard preparation is required for the test too. Basic knowledge in reasoning and aptitude is sufficient.

Night Life

3

The college is really very vast and there are lots of cool places to hangout with our friends. There are gym facilities both at the college and hostel. The college gym timings are with college timings itself. There is a cafeteria for studets to buy and eat and hostel mess for the hostelers to eat on campus. The college usually opens at 7 in the morning but the classes start at 9 and the classes end by 4 and the campus closes by 6. The public area opens/closes with the campus. The hostel is a little strict. With prior parents and warden permission students can leave and enter hostel at any time but usually the hostel timings are from mornig 6 to night 7. The campus lawn is very huge and can roam anywhere, there are seating arangements all along the campus for students to hangout. The campus is really far away from the Banglore City and the locality of the campus is somewhat risky and so is the hostel. The security is a little strict for this reasons

TAPMI has various other colleges in the campus as it's neighbours. So I have seen those placements as we will be the second batch to qualify for placements. TAPMI first batch is yet to be placed but TAPMI Manipal UG placements would be likewise only as we have been assured of that.

Placement Experience:

For project work various corporate houses have inked deals with TAPMI and therefore even though no batch of BBA Hons has been placed so far but those are the organisation who will take our services. For our services our university has set of standard of 5 LPA. So I feel median would be more or less upto 8-9 LPA.

I was first to register and i hope I become the first student at TAPMI to have placements as well. Placements will begin for TAPMI Bengaluru for the first time in 2026 December and the wait is on. As far as the history and TAPMI Manipal who is our sister college goes, I think each student will be having an offer letter of 5-10 LPA.
