POSITIVES: *Large campus *Good infrastructure *Splendid departments *Satisfactory hostel facilities *Decent transportation connectivity *Offers a good social life *University funds and grants for programs and events *Large academic resources NEGATIVES: *Dropping of minor academic days due to large events and programs. *Lack of syllabus revision in some departments as they follows the old syllabus.

The campus provides internship. A number of departments as well as course offers vivid internship to the students.The master of business administration course offers internship in reputed companies like UST global and other companies.The master of social work course has field work as its main element in the curriculum and also the course provides with a number of internship opportunities for the students.As a first year student in the campus the internship programs are yet to start.

For some departments such as MBA there is placement cell or campus placements available. The job opportunities for the students who complete their education at the campus is wide and vivid. Genuinely saying its a university campus under the government and the job opportunities are technically high but it mainly depends on the course you pursue and its trend in the present scenario or the demand for that qualification.

The campus celebrates all the festive and cultural events and the students including the hostlers as well as the day scholars have complete freedom to celebrate any event in a decent manner.The departments also celebrates any special event relating to them. Commonly festivals such as onam, Christmas Diwali and all others are celebrated by each department and also the college wise.There are separate fest for MH (Men's hostelers) LH (Ladies hostelers)RH (Research hostlers).The main events celebrated in the campus include the inauguration of arts club, women's club which took place in 15th January 2017 and the continues programs by those clubs.Arts festival is one of the important and influential event in the campus during 2017 the event was conducted on march 6,7,8 and the program's were orchestrated in 3 stages there were over 39 events,women's day is celebrated on behalf of the world women's day celebrations.The Kerala university youth festival is a four day long arts fest in which all the colleges under the Kerala university partake in various competitive items the youth festival is conducted in various colleges in each year over the Kerala state and the campus has active involvement in the fest. Proudly the recent university youth festival (2018-19) was conducted in Kariavattom campus.The world environment day celebrations are one of the illustrious event celebrated in the campus as the campus is located in a prosperous and rich environment with bountiful area of herbage and greenery over 300 acres.The folk song fest,The one billion goal on behalf of Fifa u17 world cup made a good impact in celebrations.The Reels film festival was conducted on 2017 which projected world class movies in international, Indian, and Malayalam categories over four days.The Kariyavattom campus is a Transgender friendly campus and there are also program's related to it with participation of various reputed NGOs.The campus is plastic free campus and there are a number of celebrations and programs focusing on that. Film club celebrations, yearly cultural conference are some of the splendid units which gives vivid color to celebration events,sports and athletic activities along with competition and games tournaments are common in the campus.

The fee and academic expenses are comfortable and feasible it also depends on the department and course you opted for. When reviewing my course fee structure the semester fee will be approximately about 5000 Indian rupees (note the fact that i am a day scholar) And for hostlers it will be around 10000 per semester including food.The surprise element is most students who has scholarship and stipend will get there semester as well as examination fees back.Technically as a day scholar the only expense for me is the bus fare ,books ,and others. comparing to other colleges and university the fee structure of this campus is feasible.

As mentioned earlier there is a number of scholarship and stipend available for the students. Students from Kerala under specific economic and social groups are provided with E-grant scholarship stipends. And also travel allowance are provided.There is various State level, National level and International scholarships applicable to the university campus which can be owned by certain students.

The Kariyavattom campus provides a feast of extracurricular activities there are a number of clubs and other activities including various volunteering programs national service scheme etc. Every department can organize sound and decent programs as there on. The lab facilities are great and the lab infrastructure for every lab oriented departments as well as courses are matchless and splendid.Admirably the library facilities are great with single libraries for each departments and a prodigious main campus library.There are also sound sports and games tournaments in the campus.Extracurricular activities lab facilities sports and other activities can be rated excellent.

The hostel infrastructure and facilities are great the hostlers are satisfied in infrastructure. As mentioned earlier there are separate hostel for men,women and researchers.The building and room is satisfying and great. Water facilities and toilet facilities are satisfying,There are single room available for men hostlers. Talking about the food most of the men's hostlers rated it as good and satisfying while some of the lady hostlers rated the hostel food as average.There are shops and hotels nearby the campus which the hostlers can make use of and also there are three canteens and shops inside the campus which functions till evening.

There is alumni networks inside the campus.Most of the departments has separate alumni networks the sociology department in which i pursue my post graduate course is celebrating its golden jubilee and has an effective alumni network known as Almisoc. The senior students are very helpful and constructive both academically and also in non academic and extra curricular events and activities.

The university follows CSS (credit based semester system).The examination structure mainly includes or depends on the semester system. Mainly for most post graduate courses there is an overall of four semesters there will be four university end semester examinations.There will be internal grading which commonly includes marks from our seminars ,projects,assignments,mid semester examinations.For some courses there is also viva examinations the marks from each and the main semester examinations are added for our overall grading.

The admission procedure starts with entrance examination in which the candidate has to register in the university website after the entrance examination a rank list is published online and there is a common interview procedure and with that the admission procedure is complete.

As the campus has a number of departments and plenty of courses it is difficult to review every faculty individually but overall the campus provides very experienced faculty and staffs. Their are government employees or faculty's which includes permanent staffs,staffs on contract basics ,guest staffs or lectures.its genuine that each faculty of every departments are very encouraging ans supportive.
