Review of VBS

The course curriculum is very relevant and i really have interest in how business world works so this influenced me for this course. The curriculum prepares for real world applications as class sessions are also very interactive and case study based and also every semester has a compulsary live project of 2-3 weeks. So to go on the field and work with companies really helps in getting the industry exposure.

8The companies that came for internships were BNM, outlook, digit insurance, krg, digital dhandha, profintech The roles offered were sales intern, market analyst, digital marketing intern And the stipend varies from company to company Also there are live projects with companies like Dabur India.

From semester 3, students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like naukri.com, Deloitte, HDFC bank, ICICI bank, Lnt visited campus. The highest package offered so far is 12 lakhs and the average package is 7 lakhs. The profiles for marketing are mostly sales intern and digital marketing interns. Approximately 90 percent students are getting placements. My plans after the degree are to work in corporate.

The year wise fees for the first year is 400000 and for second year it is 450000. The college this year took all the students of PGDM to an International Visit to Singapore which was included in the fees.

The overall campus life is very interesting with events conducted on every occasion. Starting with the independence day event, to the Satyanarayan puja event, to teacher’s day celebration, ganpati celebration to the biggest event if the year, the flagship event of college a 2 day event named Aarohan which is held in december. After that in feb is the BASIC international conference that the college hosts. The library is fully equipped with every type and subject of books and the classrooms are also very well equipped. For sports there are inter college competitions and intra college competitions on the turf. Every fest in college is organized by the student committee only, students have the full freedom to organize fests their way.

The hostel facility is not satisfactory according to the the price There are facilities like free laundry once in a week, daily room and washroom cleaning I stay in the in campus hostel The hostel mess food is very bad and of poor quality and despite complaints, there is no improvement

I applied to many colleges like NL Dalmia, welingkar, great lakes, flame university, kj somaiya, nmims and got a confirmed admission call from NL dalmia, flame and kj. I did not choose kj because of its high course fees and as i wanted to pursue marketing, so vbs was a good option for marketing. The admission process is clear the cutoff in entrance exams and then a personal interview round. The exams accepted are CAT, XAT, MBA CET, ATMA, CMAT

The faculty student relationship is very good, infact every 7 students has a faculty mentor to whom they can go anytime for doubts, queries or in general. The faculties are very approachable and helpful. The best faculties of marketing are Kshitija mam, rupali mam. They bring very good companies live projects which helps students get reality of how business world works. There are two semesters in a year which are moderate and the course curriculum is very relevant.

There was a personal interview round for the admission. The questions were quite normal like personal information, why vbs, why marketing and some fundamentals related to marketing Other criteria was to clear the entrance test cutoff I prepared for these rounds by keeping my domain knowledge strong and also by reading newspapers for general knowledge

There are hangout places near college like gyms, good cafeteria and eateries and public garden also. The hostel in timings are 10.30 pm at night Unfortunately there are no hangout places inside the campus to sit and chill at night. There should be a common seating area. The locality is quite safe to roam at night
