my JNAFAU life

The course have a variety of subjects from digital design, architectural design, Computer Science, Information Technology, Geographical information System, Planning and Management. The curriculum is designed in such a way that the student is ready to take up the real world challenges. The methods of teaching are also in such a way that students work together to learn the subject, arguably the best curriculum.

Some design companies from Hi-tech City, Banjara hills, Madhapur offer internships, with a stipend of as much as ?.15,000/- per week. During the internships we are expected to work on Multimedia deisgns, Graphic designs, Animations, Urban Planning, Architectural design projects; with a dedicated project planning flow.

After the 1st semester Students can apply for internships, the university helps students in taking up internships while studying. During the Last semester there will be few campus placements, interview drives organised in the department by some companies. Almost 25% of students gets placed. Many of the students gets a training internships.

Each year ?.55,000/- (during 2018-22 period) Caution fee + Library fee + miscellaneous charges = ?10,500/- For 4 years a Total of = ?2,62,000 /- A scholarship is available from the Andhra Pradesh state for migrant students of Andhra studing in other states which is of ?.35,000/- ( during 2018-22 period i didn't apply for this )

Every year few social events will be organised in the premises of the University in which "Manasara" and "Bhathukamma" fest are prominent, conducted for a week somewhere in between the months of July-October. Sometimes they are held together, sometimes seperately. University facilitates the students with sports and cultural arts interests.

There is no such particular college entrance exam for the department which i have taken, but the students are selected as a part of state conducted EAMCET exam results councelling. I have got selected to the University as part of that. initially i have no idea that the college ever Exists. Previously i have got selected to other college at my home town Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada, in Pharma department (B.Pharm). Since i have no interest in biology related subjects i have to choose opt for another college. After looking at the environment of the JNAFAU, i have decided to study there. Students can also take up the course through Management seats.

- Faculty to Student ratio is 1:9, there are few external guest faculty who will be visiting to teach the students. - Shri.Lavanya(Architectural Design), Mr.Ravi Kiran(Multi-media Design) and Mrs.Naga Laksmi(Mathematics) are the senior amongst the facilities. All the faculty members support Students in understanding the concepts; encourages & appreciates Creativity. - each semister consists of 6 to 8 subjects in which 2 subjects are electives. There are few written, Viva-voce, Jury and practical exams depending on the subject. Learning the subjects is difficult, the exams are easy to pass if we understand the subject. - Less than 20% students fail in each subject of each semester.

University will be closed after 6 PM. No student is allowed to stay in side the campus after working hours, until they are permitted by any of the faculty or administration member. There is a Hostel facility for students, seperately for boys and girls.
