Fees and Financial Aid
I'm paying a whopping amount of 6,00,000 per annum excluding hostel. The fees for hostel is around 40,000 Rupees. I came through non scholarship, even there is scholarship slabs available. College will help in providing you with loan also during the orientation session. You will be provided a loan certificate also.
Campus Life
There are many fest happening in amrita also. Mainly anokha and gokulashtami are highlight programs held in amrita viswa vidyapeetham coimbatore. Anokha is a techfest. Gokulashtami, pongal, onam and Dussehra are also celebrated very grandly here. There is very big central library which provides all sort of books from comics to every programming language . Even there is access for a digital library also where you get all sort of pdf material. Every class is equipped with a projector and charging ports available for every bench.There are many sports clubs also in amrita where many sports competitions are also held. There are many clubs in amrita in technical aspects such as "wicys" which means women in cyber security... And my favourite club sadhana which is a spiritual club...
Hostel Facilities
There are 4 members per room and room is very spacious. The food quality is also very good as compared to other hostels as I have been in hostel during my +2. The registration will be done on the orientation day itself. There will be people to guide you throughout your registration process...
Admission
I have come to amrita because I'm somewhat spiritually inclined and basically I like the culture in amrita. It is purely based on our indian tradition. I have got seat in other colleges such as manipal, and got a good rank in comed k also but I chose amrita due to the above mentioned reasons.
Faculty
The faculty in this college are very good. We can freely go and ask doubts to faculty without any fear of judgement. They are friendly and knowledgeable people. They maintain a very good class atmosphere. I liked all the faculty. There is no faculty whom I disliked. We have a mid sem exam and an end sem exam in cybersecurity. Out of an overall of 100 marks 60 are internal and 40 are from end sem exam. Those 60 marks are divided into 2 parts of 30 each. 30 for midterm and 30 are given the assignment given by teachers...
Night Life
I have been to 2 gyms which are fully equipped with all kinds of gum equipments such as treadmill, cycle, and all kinds of dumbbells and weights for powerlifting. There are 3 main cafeterias in our campus. One is near academic block 1 and one is near Amrita school of business and other is near academic block 3. My hostel closure timing is 9'o clock, it is dependent on which sem you are currently studying... My favourite hangout places are canteens and Saraswati statue near academic block 1... It is safe to roam anywhere in amrita at night...
