VVP Engineering College Review

Negative points are like canteen is not that good. Sometimes you feel like you are school instead of college due to strict environment. It can be considered as positive and negative also like every student needs to maintain their attendance at-least 75%.

As our college comes under GTU (Gujarat Technological University). Courses will be same for all GTUs college. Here, in computer branch, courses are somewhat outdated as new technologies are evolving regularly and courses aren't changed accordingly. Here, students need to keep them updated with the new technologies specially in computer branch if they want to survive in this competitive/tecnological world. Basics are taught, which is same in almost all college. Real time work are totally different then what are you learning.

Yes, our college provides many internships in the last semester. In last semester we need not go to college instead we are suppose to go in computer industry and work there. My overall experience is very nice during internship. My stipend is around 10k per month. Here, I learnt lot many things came to know which we are learning are totally different than live work. One should do internship every time even if you are not provided by any stipend.

Placements are the heart for any colleges. If placements are not good than it would be wortless to go in such colleges. In our colleges placements are good like we can't say this very good because on an average packages are around 3-4 LPA. Almost every student got placed but not everyone got 3-4 LPA. It again depends on individual and their skills.

Fees are nominal comparative to other colleges. we are having almost 88000 fees per annum. Which are to be paid semester wise so, it won't be too much burden to fees all this fees at once. And even there is TFW system, where they are not supposed to pay fees.

There is facility started now that any student who stood 1st in the class will be provided by 25000 scholarship per semester. And even there is TFW system, where they are not supposed to pay fees.

In Extracurricular activities specially sports is very good as they encourage student to take part in various sports games. Even they arrange sports week every year, where there are many interdepartmental competition.

We don't have any hostel facility in our college. There are many hostels near by our colleges so than can stay there. So, anyone who comes from different cities had to managed hostel by themselves.

Alumni network are very useful. as they we get many things to learn like which field is good to work. which company is better etc. Main alumni works at the time for job change. we can get reference for job from our senior in which they are working which would help us to get job quickly.

Admission process very simple. Here, we re getting admission on our 12th merit. The one with higher merit will be getting the first preference and then so on. When our merit comes after some days, choice fillings windows get enabled. In their all the colleges in Gujarat state are listed except (SVNIT Surat and IIT Gandhinagar), from that we need to choose colleges and its courses in which we want to apply. Here, we should select colleges and courses in such a manner that our first prioritized college and course should be first and then so on. For Example: if I want to go in Niram University in computer branch then I need to keep 1st college as a Nirma University and select computer branch. Then my second priority is VVP Engineering college computer brance then it should be 2nd in the list. While selecting colleges, we need to check cutoffs of last year so that it would give us some glimpse that we will get admission in this college or not. For Example: If my merit rank is 12000 and I select only Nirma where cutoffs are only 1000 then you won't be getting admission anywhere. So, select colleges where cutoffs are nearer to your merit rank.

Some Faculties with very good experience industry and teaching which helps us a lot to learn real time work that just completing syllabus. Some are okay like in which we need to learn by ourselves.
