From classrooms to Cafeterias.

My course is not very good in terms of practical applications. It is more of therotically oriented and research oriented. My course also does not offer very good placement so I am planning to learning coding and get a job in the tech field. There are exams once in a week if we combine all courses.

Students become eligible for intersnships from the begining of the third year. Collage provides oncampus internship and there are certain eligibility criteria's such as a SGPA of 7.5 and a good graps of technical knowledge in their respective branches. As far as my branch is concerned our seniors were able to get good internships.

Compared to the Old IIT's the placements of IIT Hyderabad is average. We have a highest package of 93 LPA and a minimum of 6.5 LPA but as compared to the new generation IIT's it has very decent placements. The percentage of students getting placed is approximately 73 %. After getting my degree I am planning to get a tech job in companies such as Microsoft, google, TCS.

the year wise fees of the collage is 286000, which includes tution fees of 2 lakhs, and registration, admission and development fees of nearly 30000 and hostel and mess fees nearly 50000, for general and obc students. there is a tution fees waiver for sc,st students. For sc,st students the annual fees is around 86000 per annum. there are many scholarships such as NSP, and many private scholarships.

There are many fests conducted in the collage such as Horizon conducted by FCC club, and E SUMMIT by the E cell. There are also fests such as MILAN,DIESTA. The famous cultural fest of our collage is Elan'N Vision. Our library also known as the knowledge research centre had huge collection books and air conditioned. There are many student run clubs including student gym-khana.

I am staying in the hostel inside the collage. It is a bit costly but the facilities given are top notch. We have radiant cooling which is helpfull in summers. The hostel fees is around 30000 per semester.

Taking this collage. was completely unexpected as I was aiming for IIT bombay, chemical engineering, but my JEE rank was very bad. The admission process was very simple after my JOSSA concelling was over I was called by the collage for physical reporting. I Completed all the paper work and paid my fees.

the faculty to student ratio is around 1:15. The faculties that I love the most are Dr. Himanshu Joshi sir and Dr. Wajah Maina because they have extensively taught the course and focused more on doubt solving of the students. Exams are according to the cources you have opted. If you have a 3 credit course then there are 2 exams in a month and If you have opted for a 2 credit cource then there are ususally more number of exams per month. The difficutly depends on professor who is taking the course usually easy to moderate.

The gym is newly constructed and very good for beginners as well as advanced people and consists of all the essential equipments required by the students. Students usually stay late in the night and roam around cafeterials which are open till 3 AM in the morning. The night life of IIT hyderabad is very good. The famous hangout places inside the collage include dominos,collage canteen, and the open air theatre. The hangout places outside includes King's Dhaba, Aroma, Zam-Zam, milestone.
