Likes

I liked the infrastructure here it is one of the popular buildings
The staff teachers students are more disciplined
College has credits points system 12 points compulsory where you earn 1 credit point by working for 40hr by doing extra circular activities

Dislikes

My college doesn't have canteen which is the worst part
Faculty needs more experience and expertise as they hire not so experienced teachers
Campus need improvement also the ground as well

Course Curriculum Overview

The simplest course is divided in 6 terms which has unit tests and properly programmed vivas which makes easier for students to achieve internal marks .The kt system is also easier here and gets resolved easily

Class Size: 500Course Fees: INR 20000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Our college offered internships within top 3 companies which are Kpmg,Ed,deloitte and the stipend for a bcom graduate were around 15k-30k which is good as an beginning learner and earner. Internships has 3 rounds

Fees and Financial Aid

I have graduated from R.APodar college and by Bcom course i.e, Bachelor of commerce. The fees here are 5000Rs per year with extra additional fees of compulsory IV of 2000Rs .So Bcom is a 3year course so approx fees is 21k.

Campus Life

Campus life was not as good as expected because campus was very small and not so for practicing sports. Only the indoor games campus was good .The clubs handled by students for betterment of environment like beaches, roads were good decisions

Admission

I had top 3 colleges in my mind that were HR, Podar and ruparel. Podar actually turned out to be the best because of its management,exams, faculty, staff,auditorium, lectures teachers and many more things

Faculty

Our college has the most difficult level of exam even if it for the simplest course but eventually Vinita mam (principal), ashok sir and usha mam has helped students getting and achieving better. The helping staff (Maamas are arrogant here for no reason)

Night Life

The night time was best thing at college as it is safe in matunga .Enigma,Rappo were some activities made by college which included participation of all students which continued in night as well. Hangout places were always 5g and Dps fast food restaurant

Placement Experience:

During my time the first company that visited our organization was Naukri.com, and feel proud to say that i got placed in the same organization. I am very happy with my placement. But talking about my peers. Number of companies who visited to our institute was compared to low as per our expectations. Majority of the companies who visited the institute were sales based organizations. Very less companies for finance and HR field. This made a difficult call for students.

AS FOR PLACEMENT , TNP TRIES REALLY HARD TO GET STUDENT PLACED. MULTIPLE COMPANY VISIT THE CAMPUS. NAMELY INFOSYS, ACCENTURE, COGNIZANT, TCS, CAPEGEMINI, AMDOCS, HCL, TECH MAHINDRA, ETC MULTUPLE APTITUDE ASSESMENT AND CODING ASSESMENT ARE CONDUCTED BY COMPANIES. MANY STUDENT GET PLACED AT AVERAGE OF 4.5 . OFFER ARE LIKE 3LPA, 3,5LPA.4,5LPA, 7LPA, MAX 9LPA OR THIS YEAR BUT STILL IN MY OPNION STUDENT ARE NOT PUTTING ENOUGH EFFORT IN THEIR PLACEMENT DRIVES AND HAVE VERY CASUAL ATTITUDE. SO PERCENTAGE IS AROUND 40% AND I'LL NOT BLAME COLLEGE FOR THIS PERCENTAGE ATLEAST NOT TNP, CUZ FOR SOME REASON STUDENT ARE CLEARING FAILING HERE AS FOR ME I'M PLANNING FOR FURTHER STUDIES

For companies you can the college website about companies, percentage placement, highest package, average package, median package, lowest package, etc. Also there are various options such as Mtech, MBA or abroad studies.

Nice Learning Journey at GVAIET

l applied to other colleges like VJTI and Sardar Patel but got admission only at GVAIET. I chose GVAIET because of good faculty, updated syllabus, and better placements. I missed other colleges due to lower entrance ranks. Admission here is through CAP counselling based on MHT-CET. Eligibility is HSC and Diploma.
