I cracked IIT JEE. This goes without saying that what is the importance of IIT JEE. I for AIR-1038. The reason behind choosing IIT Kanpur was the culture that college provides. The facilities are one of the best in India. Academically it is India's best college.
Course Curriculum Overview
Research work is great there. Though curriculum is on tougher side but one can get along with time.The student has to complete somepre selected departmental course along with humanities courses during all the four year course.In third and fourth year student has to choose among various electives.
Internships Opportunities
I did intern at LnT.The company is very renowned. I got rs 50k pm as stipend.There are various companies which come for campus recruitments like flipkaet,Deutsche bank and many more.the range of stipend given by company varies from 30k to 1 lakh pm.
Placement Experience
IIT Kanpur is amongst the top colleges in terms of visits by company for recruitment.many mnc along with Indian companies comes for recruitment.the field of companies varies from banking to core to retails and many more.almost all the studens get a job during 15 days long placement season.The packages offered by companies varies from 6 lakh to 50 lakh p.a. in India and upto 1.2 crore overseas.
College Events
IIT Kanpur is very well famous for its curricular activities.The academic year starts with sports festival, Udghosh, It is generally held in September. After that I'm October comes the cultural festival, Antaragni, indias biggest cultural festival. More than 2000 students participate in festival from all over India. After that in February comes the technical festival,Techkriti. Many technical events takes place during fest. Along with all these many intra college competitions and feat takes place during an academic year.
Fee Structure And Facilities
As IIT Kanpur is funded by government so fees is very nominal there. The fees is around 30k per semester which is very less compared to facilities provided.

IIT Kanpur is funded by government so there are many scholarships provided by government for economically weak students like MCM scholarship. Along with it many scholarships are provided for academically bright students.
Campus Life
The best thing is the life there.The campus is spread in 1100 hectares area.which has all the facilities like sports ground for every sports.dedicated courts and rooms for eacket gamaea and indoor games.There is an 4000 capacity open aur theatre.Many cultural and technical programs held from time to time during an academic calendar.There are many socities like robotics,electronics,dance,drama etc.Gender ratio is very skewed there.
Hostel Facilities
There are 12 hostels in IIT Kanpur.ecah one has its own mess.though mess food is average in most of the hostels.The rooms are single seated and two seated,that depends upon hostels. Rooms are very spacious.The average rental of the hostels are 10 k per se
Alumni/Alumna
The senior-junior interaction is very good there.The relation between seniors and juniors is very cordial. During college days the thing that matters most is the interaction a junior dies with his seniors as they help him grow and learn things during his whole college life.
Exam Structure
Academics are very hectic at IIT Kanpur.There are regular quizzes,assignments are given by professors.weekle labs are there in every semester.sometimes there are 1-2 labs per week to 4-5 labs per week.There are 1 midsem and 1 endsem during a semester.IIT
