A genuine review of Lucknow University

I have three subjects. Maths Computer Science Statistics .Maths is in minor and the course curriculum is not special butTeachers in statistics are good and the course curriculum there has also changed according to NEP. Now NEP has been implemented in all the departments and the course curriculum has become of 4 years. We have left the university with our degree or diploma in any year but 4th yearWe get a research degree in the fourth year and we get a degree in the third year. Students prefer to get a third year degree from here. Because there are not so many knowledgeable teachers in the fourth year. They also prefer to do M.Sc instead of fourth year.

There is no placement here. If I want placement then I should go for professional course. Proportional course is done in new campus. The fees there are also a little higher. B.Sc is a general course and there is no placement for it here. But the teachers here talk big and nothing happens here. After doing general B.Sc, where do children go for MSc or government job. If we want placement then placement cell is not available here. If we want placement then we should do professional course in new campus. Placement cell is available there.

Here we pay fee semester wise my combination is computer science, statistics and maths as minor in first sem I have to pay 7557 and after that in all semester I have to pay 8557 rupees per semester means 17114 per year fees and hostel cost for girls is nearly 34800 per year and for boys hostel cost varies and in fee payment there is no reservations but we can apply for up scholarship which varies according to category for example general can get 11k somthing per year and obc can generate 14k somthing and similarly for sc category but we need to apply with ourselves and submit in University. And inpire scholarship also.

The social environment here is also very good. We can easily make good friends here. There is a lot of groupism here and there are many committees as well. Like for culture sanskritiki and many other things. Apart from this, NCC and NSS are also there and Cyber Library and Easily available here for free and the facility of Tagore Library is also available. Apart from the library, students can also participate in different events here such as foundation week are organized in the Computer Science department.

The hostel facility is very good here. Inter hostel festival is celebrated here. Where there is competition between the hostels and the hostel that wins gets a separate prize and there is also distribution of certificates and prizes to the children. The quality of food in the hostel is not very good and even after complaining many times, the food is not good and the food menu here never changes and once the food fee is fixed, it is never changed. We have to pay the fee for the day as well. Hostel registration comes at the time of allotment. We should fill the hostel registration carefully and PG is easily available around here and the fees there are also affordable.

We chose this college because we get good hostel facilities here and the hostel fees are also low and the teaching in the department is also good. In comparison to other, we can also choose other colleges, but we don't get hostel facilities there and fees are also charged more there.The environment here is also very good and the fees here in Lucknow are good at the university level. This is a state university so its name is also quite good. Like at home, our parents don't let us go to Delhi because the environment there is not well in colleges and the environment of Lucknow is a little better. There are good places to eat and drink here. There are good places to roam around as well.

Faculties are different in different departments but we can't say all are same and they are easy to approach but not very helpful but they are very sweet and easily explain this but some don't do only blame you for any reasons, I like statistics faculty mostly all are very good and very helpful in anything but we can't say this for all some of faculty I like is shambhavi mishra mam of statistics department as she is very sweet and knowledgeable and in maths department I don't have much idea as I have minor but my friends say department is okay and teachers are good but you have to study yourself and in last semester no one go to take classes of math's in maths department there is astronomy department which is only available as minor subject. And exams are okay but you have to study to get good marks but generally they give average marks to everyone.

We live in a hostel so we don't have our own idea of nightlife. But we have to stay inside the hostel till 8:00 pm and the hostel rules are very strict here and a little lenient for boys. But a little strict for girls and the university looks very beautiful at night. It feels good to roam there and here we can roam around by making a group of friends.Gym and library are also available in the university. Gmail library facility is also available in the hostel.
