My College - VU

Actually I Like coding and building new apps , designs. So I choose computer science due to my passion for coding. Here in our college the curriculum is R22. Even though it is quite hard it prepares us for placements , also helps us to build good skills and knowledge about the subject, not only book knoweledge practical based also. The teaching methods has to be more effective, conducting virtual lecturers will build our interest even more. The frequency of the exams shoud be reduced because it is getting stressful for students due to frequent exams.

In the ending of 3rd year itself we are eligible for campus placements. Near about 200+ companies visited our university and they made many offers. Comapnies like Amazon, Wipro ,TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Tata etc.. The highest package offered was 44LPA by amazon and the average package is 6LPA by TCS. TCS offered web developer , software engineer roles while amazon offered data analyst ,data abstracter roles . Almost 85% students get placed in well reputeted companies and other 15% are those who want to purse MS or people who want to start start-ups. Actually my goal is to secure a good placement and then work for 2-3 years and after that i want to purse my higher studies abroad. Actually I mainly dream to go to US to pursue my MS.

My total fee is approximately 10,5000 . Actually I have a 30% scholarship which means per year I have to pay approximately 1.8L per year . Admission fee is 20k and we have to pay it priorly to take admission in the college. There is no special reservations for SC , ST or OBC people . All my friends opted different different percent of scholarships someone got 15% and someone got 50% . Scholarships are mostly merit cum . They conduct an Exam and based on the rank we get the scholarship. We can also directly take admission with specific amount of scholarship through good JEE Mains rank. And someone also got other state scholarships also.

The biggest fest of our University is Mohostav . It is held in the first two weeks of feb every year . The fest lasts for 3 days. It contains culturals as well as sports. We also have a branch fest every year . Coming to technical fests, we have a 48 hours hackathon where we can show case our coding skills and build a app and win amazing prizes. Our Library consist of among 1000+ books of each department. I have red many journals which are available at library and they were pretty good. Our Classrooms are well-equiped with smartboards , 24/7 full speedwifi , air conditioners ,projectors etc. Our University encourages sports a lot, The equipment is provided by the college only and the mentors as well are very talented in their fields. We won many games in south zones all thanks to the team-effort and mentor. Talking about extra curricular activities we actually have different clubs for dance,music, theater arts,,anchoring , modeling etc. We also have a student bodies like SAC , E-CELL, NSS , ARC .SAC is the biggest student body in my university and the body is divided into different clubs to manage the fests and events efficiently like we have logistics for managing posters and all, stage and management for back stage duties , Literary for anchoring and all etc. ARC is also popular in my uni as they are very strict when it comes to ragging and teasing.

My room type is non-ac. It is well equipped with a bed, locker, shelfs , attached bathroom etc. They also provided geasers , the electricity is pretty stable and we have a high speed wifi which sometimes flactuate. Our building is also well equipped with lifts and all. The meal quality and quantity is pretty decent . The menu is too regular and they dont cahnge it so we are tired eating the same food everyday. We have to pay 5000 for room booking at starting. The room is quite affordable and we have a sepreate laundry fee. If you want to rent a PG, the best place is narseroapetta and if you want city vibes you can go with guntur its 30-40 mins away from the cammpus. The hostels are pretty decent and security is less.Take good reviews about food before going.

Actually I applied to Lovely Professional University located at Gujarat , Veltech University at Chennai,Vignan University,SRM University and KL university. I got admission in Lovely Professional University , Veltech University , Vignan and KL University. I chose Vignan because it is quite affordable compared to KL & SRM University and it is not so far away from my hometown . When coming to LPU & Veltech , They were so far way from my hometown and my parents didnt allowed me. Yeah I got Rejection from SRM & Gitam University, I didnt performed well in SRM'S enterance exam & for Gitams i havent even wrote the entrance exam due to some issues. Actually for SRM , I wasn't ready for the exam and I wasnt prepared due to my pre boards so fair enough to not get the admission. Actually getting admission in this college is quite easy. You can get admission through VSAT - Vignan's Entrance entrance exam or they also except admissions through JEE Mains and State level entrance exams. Students mostly prefer VSAT because the cutoff is not too much high and we can avail good scholarship by securing good rank. The overall admission experience was quite great and I never thought I would get admission in first place but they gave me admission with 30% concession.

The faculty-to-student ratio in my college is 4:1 . The faculty is pretty approachable , friendly and calm. The faculty helps us a lot, they even help us after college hours. They are fun and engaging at the same time . I like Dr. Balu sir. I can proudly say that i learned complete data structures course because of him only. He is so strict but he always makes the lectures very interesting and fun. The faculty that I don't like much is my DLD sir ( Mr. John ) . He is good at his field but his lectures are not very interesting and are quite boring. The difficulty of the exams range from moderate and hard . We follow R22 curriculum , it is quite difficult though. Out of 100%, almost 85% pass the exams . The curriculum is somewhat relevant .

I faced an entrance exam to get admission in this college . The test was online-based multiple choice questions. The difficulty ranged from moderate to hard and if you secure a good rank you will get good amount of schoarship. You can directly get admission through jee mains or state level entrance exam . You can also get admissio through your IPE marks. Actually I started my preparation 3 months priorly so it was not that difficult for me.

We have a huge cafeteria called MHP( Most Happening Place) where we get all the food items we want. We also have a cafeteria in my university named Zest . Our hostels contain well-equipped gyms and inside the uni we have a gym for paid- membership . Library is available 24/7 with dozens of books and high speed wifi . As I'm a girl we have to get inside the hostel by 6PM and if we have any work in campus like working for events or staying in library for resources we can take permission from our respected warden. Boys are allowed to roam inside the campus till 10-11 PM freely . Students love to hangout at our popular MHP or Zest. The locality is pretty safe as we have guards all over the campus. The locality is kinda less-populated because its inside the farms and all but by taking a 30 min ride we can go to nearby towns.
