The Qulity of education

the positive thing is that it is an old college with well experienced teachers and labs and aimed for overall development of a student but the negative thing is that many students are not loyal and they are not interested studying disturbing the others.

Presently the curriculum is best, all department staff are very good at explaining the concepts with practical illumination along with present affairs in the world. The curriculum is not only restricted to a book and class. They take out us to industrial visit every year or once in two years without missing in order to make the students to learn from the industrial specialists, more numbers of events are carried out in all streams and even the special lecturers were arranged by respective departments and NSS. Some cultural events are also arranged for 2 days, and also send students for long distances for cultural events if they are interested. NSS camps were also organized.

They provide Rs.7000/- as a scholarship for the students good at studying and who have low income(less than Rs.40000/- per anum). in my case i joined pu college for Rs.12500/- for first year and in the same year i got Rs.6000 back as a scholarship and in 2nd year Pu the same amount i paid and get back Rs.3000. My overall Pu Donation, admission and all the expenses doesn't reach more than Rs.25000 and In degree college for 2 years i paid Rs.5700 and Rs.8700 and i get back Rs.14000+1000 back in the same two years, the expense done in 2 years of degree is equal to the scholarship given by the institution.

I don't know much about the placement in science stream but they arrange skill development program for students at least cost as for as possible, but in other streams the placement is better as per i know. Job opportunities depends on the person skill, knowledge and talent, the college is not responsible not getting job but they can give you a knowledge that is help you to get job.

They are many events celebrated in our college and everyone participated. in science stream the science and research forum conducted only once in the year and it's main aim is to provoke the students to take part in science and research and discuss about the present papers submitted and lecture and also award students. The main event is Science day celebrated in the month of February, where so many colleges were invited for the competitions and special lecture were arranged by the organizer and so many things will be carried out in that day. list of events as per i know 1.Parisara Jatha. 2.Cultural events. 3.Sports day and even more, these are just examples.

The fee structure is mainly concerned towards the poor and backward students, the society named Janatha Education Society and aimed at providing the education at low cost, the fee structure including everythging is feasible for all students.

Yeah every year i get scholarship from the institution named as Student Aid Fund for non sc/st candidates around Rs.7000/- per year based on merit and income. around 250 selected students from all the branches will get the scholarship. there is one more scholarship named gopalan endowment in which u get Around Rs.3000 per year. other government scholarships are also available.

The extra curricular activities were good. Majority students were participating in all these activities. NSS camps and activities are organized along with lecturer. Laboratory is very good, allow the each student to do experiment, overall the co curricular activities are very good.

i am just not sure about the hostel infrastructure and facilities, but one of my friend says that the facilities are best, while some says that they the facilities and infrastructure are just ok. it depend on the hostel you desired to stay.

some seniors are very helpful and they teach us with good intentions and unselfishness, there are also some seniors ask our help to teach them what they don't know or what they forget. All seniors and juniors are like brothers and sisters but there are some fellows who discriminates but majority are like what i said first.

The Monthly test were conducted in Junior college and class internals are also conducted as per HoD or the lecturer desire. The Lab internals and viva voce are also conducted by the incharge teacher and everything is good. Preparatory also conducted in junior college. in degree college the lab internals and theory internals conducted only once in a semester.

In vivekananda Degree College or Vivekananda pu college there is no cutoff percentage. to get admitted 1. Take a print of your marks card 2. Your caste and income certificate 3. You should fill a form given by the institution regarding joining the institution 4. After filling, tag marks card and income certificate along with the form and submit to the instituiton office. 5. They verify and get a signature of the principal and ask you to pay the admission fee to the bank. 6.After paid, go the office and verify it. Now you are admitted and then go to library and get a library card and ID card and make sure that id card requires principal signature and seal.

The faculty of members of all departments were well experienced and have a experience of more than 20 years, but presently new faculties were joining the college. Some are strict at discipline, majority faculties are most student favorable, there are some does not teach well but no all faculties are like that. The faculties who done Ph.D influence the students and making small projects and publishing the papers. a lot more to experienced
