Course Curriculum Overview
curriculum is combined with theory classes and lab to get handson experience. faculty use maximum resources for enaging the students towards the concepts. Exams are quite difficult mostly problem based. internal exam are conducted thrice in a sem.
Internships Opportunities
there are very less companies offered internship along with placements. Students are mostly placed only for working not much for internship. Generally biotech students go for paid interns in IIT , CSIR like universities
Placement Experience
students eligible for campus interview from 7th semester. Most of the offers come for computer science group . Ratio of students placed is high for cs department. For biotech no core company is hiring, all are getting placed in IT , marketing companies. TCS , zoho , trendentz, wellsfargo, accenture are companies come for hiring process
Fees and Financial Aid
The average tuition fees for a semester is around 84,000 . In the 1st semester college have collected 10000 rupees as an development charges for new student. sports and unit test fees for each semester is 2000 rupees . Breakage fee is raised at the end of the each semester will be 300 to 400 . For 8 semester i have paid 7,36,419 rupees totally. In case under any sudden demise of father who is only the earning person in the family during the study of college , the management do collect fees for them in the upcoming semester. For that the student must have good cgpa and should not have any history of arrears.
Campus Life
there are many clubs in sastra and they make initiative for conducting events. Plasma club is for blood donation , coloseum event which is the special inter-college sports fest conducted every year, kuruksastra is fest conducted as cultural events .
Admission
I applied for amitra university coimbatore , but its being too expensive to afford i didn't joined the college. But sastra is quite reasonable at this ranking and standard. Admission is based on the 12th board marks and jee examination. Person with high score can get into top courses.
Faculty
faculty are very friendly with students and we approach them whenever they are free. student and teacher ratio is good enough to get enough guidance. some of the faculty teaches things which were in the syllabus itself for students knowledge. 3 internal test are conducted for a semester for 50 marks each out of which 2 best it taken for internals. semester is for 100 marks and the final grade is combination of 50 marks of internals and sem.
Night Life
gym facilites are good and well equiped and library contains thousands of books and reference. Hostel are cleaned and maintained regularly , but the food is not quite good. Kc, canopy , kappikudiul, gc are the canteens available in the campus. Night life is enjoyabale and security person are always in the campus
