MY LIFE AT VIT

Here the curriculum is so good for a average student The curriculum makes sure that a student has all the set of skills which makes a very good employee in the present competitive world The curriculum has a basket of Open elective courses which grants us the freedom of choosing what we want to study Exams are conducted for every 5 weeks and there will be quizes regularly conducted in the classrooms by the faculty

There is a continuous providence of internship opportunities for all students informed daily through their mail The big internships like google , microsoft are made available from 6th semester which can be handled because we will have a good assistance from the faculty The internships provided mainly focusses on development and marketing and managing roles To make sure most people get internship it is made compulsary to do an internship or a big project by the end of 8th semester which consists of a very high weightage (14 credits) The conversion rates are also good in these companies which are called by VIT

Vellore Institute of Tehnology has a very good placements recorded In the year 2024 there are 837 companies which stepped the door of VIT for hiring students from this college There was an average package of nearly 10 lakhs (9.9 lakh) in the year 2024 The highest package in the year 2024 is 1 Crore per Annum There is a wide range of oppurtunities made available for students who are not intrested for placements such as 2+2 foreign packages etc

The fees I paid in total is 198000 which includes tution fees , lab fees , development fees. I opted for a 6 bed AC deluxe which costes me 175000 including the deposit fees and caution fees which is 15000. There a lot different types of hostels available for fees ranging from 150000 to 250000 which has (AC normal , AC Deluxe and NON AC ) there are 2,3,4,6,8 bed rooms available The total fees for students depends upon the rank achieved in VITEEE the fees varies as follows 1st category 2lakh 2nd category 3lakh 3rd category 4lakh 4rth category 4.5lakh 5th category 5lakh

There are over 170 clubs and chapters in VIT which can be very helpful to gain real life exposure The clubs are very big and developed that recently renovated air port in Bihar had its ticket booking system developed by VIT's students which is a very proud moment for all VITians There are so many fests and cultural activities organised in the college every day The two big fests in VIT , GRAVITAS and RIVERA which are popular fests all over the county The gravitas is very big fest that students from IIT Bombay also come to comete with VIT students

Hostels are vey nice in here There are 2 bed , 3 bed , 4 bed , 6 bed , 8 bed and dormetries made available for students These are available in all Non AC , AC normal , AC Deluxe The prices vary from 1.5lakh to 2.5lakh depending upon the choice of the student Students choose hostels based upon their CGPA and also the can choose their roommates Food is little bit less spicy for south Indian people but overall menu is okay which is not so bad Basic emenities like study table , study light , book shelf , very large spacious cupboard Water purifiers and water heaters are also available in Hostel 24/7

I felt that the campus of VIT is far bigger than the Campus of Amrita College Here there is a wide variety of food available for students which was not found in Amrita College Non Veg is not allowed in Amrita College which I need a lot regularly Transports like railway station and Busstand are near to VIT than to Amrita College. Infrastructure is better in Vellore Institute of Technology than in Amrita College Rules are a bit leneant in VIT and there is no uniform constraint in VIT

VIT has a highly qualified Faculty out of which some of them are graduated from IIT's and had published so many Reasearch Papers These teachers always helped me in all aspects Here the faculty to student ratio is very high which is 1:19 These teachers always supports students in all aspects of studies and personal life They give their highly valuable experience to students who are intrested in innovation and entrepreneurship

I am not a big fan of night life in VIT beacause there doesn't exist one Students should report in hostel before 9 pm and not allowed to roam outside unless taken a special permisson from their respective wardens There is a very big and good hangout area where people can enjoy their free time known as FOODYS which is really a very good refreshing spot There are 3 gyms available for men in Hostel which are not less than any other high standard private gyms. There are so many cafe's available in college which gives us the chance to feel different varieties of tastes and food items
